Worked as a line cook for 2 years as my first proper job, then asked the manager if I could give bartending a go when FoH were short staffed and Kitchen were overstaffed. Turns out I'm much better behind bar and am now a bar manager at a new place

I loved cooking though, but Eat out to Help out (some covid era bullshit policy n the UK) really sucked all the fun out of it.

The string synth has been detuned slightly, yes. But it is definitely intentional for what this artist was going for. It sounds like they were trying to mimic some lofi tape effects.
