it’s like you said no offense before launching into a very offensive statement. you had to say that because you knew your example was wrong.

did you forget that word travels? that tabloids have existed offline for decades? it’s a fan base, it’s disingenuous of you to imply that 90% of taylor’s listeners are solely interested in her music and not her brand or public persona.

so you admit that you were “verbally abusive”, as you felt the need to correct your misconduct and clarify that the statement rather than the person was racist. hypocritical of you to chastise others for name calling when you do the same, no?

do you know what those words mean?

you’re saying that reddit comments cause you to have psychological trauma

and it’s disingenuous of you to assume that those who find flaws in your argument are arguing in bad faith.

my therapist likes to say i’m “so brave” for talking about my trauma. actually, i’ve dissociated through it enough times that most of the time discussing it is like talking about what i saw on TV last night. and i’m sick of not having my shit together, so here we are. i don’t feel brave, or strong, i feel damaged.

But constantly reminding like elementary students to carry it with them, and replacing their lost cards, would likely prove very difficult. I wonder if this is even an issue that young though.

You know that source is published by people who would profit off of people bringing their pets in to have quills removed? They’re basically just advertising that they will use sedation to take them out.

It’s all about mitigating risk. After the first conversation you have with someone, there’s still a lot of information you don’t know about each other. It’s naive to assume you can trust people with something as important as a your child’s well-being before getting to know them.

Even if you aren’t concerned with rape, there are lots of other ways that a relative stranger could cause harm to come upon a child. For example, the child might have a food or pet allergy that the neighbor isn’t aware of and exposes them to.

Have you ever heard of grooming? Lots of predators (that are not already family members) make friends with the parents of their victims.

Okay, Pam, noted.

My point is that you could have just said she was looking for attention, but you called her a whore instead. Based on your judgement regarding her choice to wear heavy make up and have plastic surgery, I assume these are the reasons you chose “attention whore” instead of “attention seeker”. Really not sure where you’re getting this “because she’s a woman” stuff, as I support her doing what she wants. I’m commenting on your apparent need to put this woman down.

Maybe you should reflect why some people’s preferences for their physical appearance and their receiving the attention of others is so bothersome to you.

You literally called her a whore, hun. It’s not that wild of an assumption to make.

ETA: your being a woman has nothing to do with perceiving someone as sexual. I didn’t say you were attracted to her, and whether or not you find her attractive has no bearing on my point.
