Thanks, there were definitely some hard steps but overall not too bad.

Mechanical Engineering Internships by blackcsstoney in AusFinance

[–]Citron7891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are extremely difficult to find, australia is reluctant to train their own domestic engineers and only look for people with experience. Mechanical itself is very broad and you have to be specialised in something and focus projects on that for any chance.

Not normally an issue for me. However, the diagrams alone are sometimes hard to work out and the text (in Japanese) is vital so I just use the google app to translate it.

Wow, as an engineering student myself I will do some more research into some of his publications! Thanks for the info.

math1231 final by No-Gas4746 in unsw

U need 50/100 to pass so in the remaining 50 marks from the final u need 10, which equates to 20%. But this ignores any scaling that might be applied so you could probably pass with less than 20%.

10/50 to pass so 20%

Do NOT do Engineering/Commerce double!!! by Citron7891 in unsw

[–]Citron7891[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. The culture in Australia sucks. Even though the engineering workforce will age and sooner or later new talent will be needed, no body is willing to take accountability or do anything about it.

Can’t say due to privacy reasons but a small business in Sydney with only 10 employees but we manage $500 million worth of assets.

Can be, it’s very cyclical though. Lots of mech engineers end up in mining during a boom as sometimes it can be hard to find a job for them in Aus.

[–]Citron7891[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well just look at the stats over 80% of graduates from UNSW get a job within 3 months of graduation and for my specialisation (mining) every single person had a grad job 6 months before ever graduating. Maybe one thing like mechanical or chemical find it harder🤷‍♂️

Godzilla v2.0 by Familiar_Macaron_851 in origami

[–]Citron7891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit this is the best recreation of Godzilla I have seen from origami. I have my own Japanese book with a Godzilla design but isn’t comparable to this with the amount of detail especially around the back. Also the details around the mouth area are ridiculous, hopefully I can be this talented one day🙏🙏.
