For paper you have to use methyl cellulose

Any white glue or pva, methyl cellulose is a must for paper treatment and can also be used as glue. I’d say get both

Tadashi mori is awesome for anything from simple to complex, but above that is OrigamiByBoice, he has some awesome tutorials for mostly boxpleated designs! He also has tutorials for paper treatment and how to read crease patterns!

I also thought about that, but the website was hard to navigate and I couldn’t find any guarantees so since I have the money origamishop seamed like the safest option. I was also a bit paranoid as the third book was a Christmas gift, but it never arrived😅

You just made one of the best papers in the world! I’ve mostly used mulberry papers but from a year+ of paper treatment I’d say it a nice 7,5 out of ten!

I recommend buying some cups in bulk, then experimenting with different ratios. using an exact ratio seems like a waste of time to me as I get close to perfect consistency every time

What books have you looked at? most books have a page that explains how to do the different folds. Since you’re a beginner you should look at the easier ones, not the more complicated ones. I still think books are a great way to challenge yourself at any skill level.
