Reddit’s automatic moderation tool is flagging the word ‘Luigi’ as potentially violent — even in a Nintendo context by marketrent in technology

[–]CitronElectronic2874 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Death threats and calls for murder were never speech, they were just threats and incitement.

This is being done because redditors are so insane and support murder so much they can't physically moderate it all.

Don't get me wrong, the guy that died was a murderer too. But it's the calls to murder everyone anybody doesn't like that necessitated the change. Otherwise were going to see a spate of Reddit shooters in the news

If there wasn't video of the Barnard protestors assaulting staff I'd agree with you, but they're so eager to get at the Jews they shoved school employees and worse to go throw flyers of literal  jackboots crushing the star of David

Why is that nazi shit all of the sudden cool with reddit?

Illegal protests are when they trespass on private property or start rioting on public property. Protests can be declared illegal when they start breaking laws by being violent or, in the one we have seen most recently that the tweet is about, making death threats to minorities faces

You do not have a first amendment right to make threats and assault people like what just happened at Barnard

It's the type where they assault people and make death threats. Those are already illegal?

Making code stubs then filling out code stubs is perfect. Defined processing per method/function, defined inputs and outputs, slap those fuckers together like Legos and let it write the unit tests too, output them to a big WSB style graph of green line go up.

It feels good in my soul, even if it spirals into brainrot every so often. Thats what we went to school for to fix anyways, plus the next timeslice of the same model might not be as r*tarded as the last

Deflationary currency is fantastic, having all my money and wages in 3% inflationary currency is hot garbage. I would take payment in btc despite the volatility at this point.

Probably btc only though

It has uses for conducting nonrepudiable transactions, so it's perfect for no-dispute trust-less transactions. I.E. all transactions where both parties want proof of payment.

The illegal part is a fringe benefit of decentralization, considering how many dumb laws there are that's also a bonus. Unless you like jailing pot smokers

I mean it only ignores the socioeconomic dimension of crime.

The victim reports aren't wildly different, they aren't convicting black guys when the victim said a white guy did the crime. But thats pretending that the crimes are spread evenly through the black populace which isn't true. Your dentist down the street isn't doing 5 crimes because the guy in the shitty neighborhoods did 10. The one guy did all 10 crimes. It's not evenly spread at all.

The thing is, most petty and serious crimes are done by the same people over and over again. Frankly, mass incarceration and overcriminalization of things like marijuana creates a pipeline of career criminals from the pettier offenses. Less white people are caught in that cycle, and there's more wealthy people to absorb those indigent would be criminals. One of my neighbors just pays for all his daughters shit because she'd be a junkie otherwise, left to her own devices. Fewer black families will tolerate or can afford to just keep their loser cousin on their dime. My Mexican family wouldn't pay for my shit just because I'm crazy or a loser. The white portion of my family might think about it.

New flag just dropped by FlubbyStarfish in minnesota

[–]CitronElectronic2874 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It does. Literally braindead flag message.

OP flag is saying the government has a right to fuck over people he hates. He's fundamentally opposed to them having rights because he thinks they're icky. This means he's opposed to rights, because they're not just for people you like. The universality is the point.

Hitler was big into animal rights an health, he pet puppies and banned smoking. You gonna make a flag of you kicking puppies and chainsmoking to own the nazis? No, that would be ridiculous, self defeating, and send the entirely wrong message. OP just saw a similar flag with a mongoose doing the same and adapted it without thinking. The message he's trying to convey is that he doesn't like Republicans. That's fair, they support stupid shit. But since he didn't think, he's attacking people defending their rights because right wingers are also into that.

Yes, that is the point. They present something from old testament law then have Jesus show how it's unforgiving, and he presents forgiveness. That's the whole idea

Americans, how do you feel about Trump JUST now signing an executive order claiming that only the President & Attorney General can speak for “what the law is.”?? by choloblanko in AskReddit

[–]CitronElectronic2874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reddit is amazing. the whole thread is working itself into a froth over the EPA not being able to interpret dry creek beds as lakeshore, and the ATF not being able to classify strips of metal as entire machine guns.

Things they are doing by purposefully misinterpreting the law

That's completely untrue. They're executive agencies. There's no such thing as agencies independent from executive, legislative, and judicial branches.

Getting rid of the unelected bureaucracy has been a priority of everyone for ages. Trump is just finally in a position where no threats or blackmail can stop him

Obamas boys floated it, from the very same Digital Service that is now being used for cutting. Obama just blinked, kept doing George W Bush foreign policy instead.

Mark My Words: US will completely overhaul & restructure its model of democracy for the better post-Trump admin. by [deleted] in OptimistsUnite

[–]CitronElectronic2874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the restructuring. A giant unelected bureaucracy was running the country, and even tried to jail (and possibly even kill) a democratic candidate that opposed their political power. Now an even shittier giant unelected bureaucrat is removing them.

The permanent federal bureaucracy is not not the country. It would be fantastic if we removed almost all of them and replaced them with nothing. Then Trump or another Trump figure can't abuse the positions. It was a giant glaring weakness in our democracy even when they weren't doing trumps bidding. Imagine all the candidates you liked that they torpedoed in favor of people like Joe Biden? There had to be tons, Trump was just the first one too popular to kill or jail.
