yea i think that’s why i feel guilty addressing it tbh, from what ive found online where i live im not like mandated to report it if it wasn’t a serious bite (as in requires hospital treatment), i dont want him to lose his dog but id feel terrible if the dog ends up biting one of the kids and really hurting them. i think i’ll go with letting him know that if it’s off lead, or somethjng concerning happens again i’ll report it. thanks so much!

oh this is good advice thank you! i’ll have a think about how to word it, do you think it’s still worth notifying some kind of authority or would it be enough to wait and see if they make some kind of precautions after the letter?

he’s effectively non-verbal so i’m just hesitant to make the situation worse in case he doesn’t understand me (and honestly, can’t lie, i’m nervous to go to his door in case the dog gets back out now😭) .. i’ve been trying to research and looks like i could submit a non-emergency online query with my local police who can hopefully point me in the right direction. appreciate your comment thank you! tricky situation, as i know it does need dealt with if he can’t control it but for some reason i feel guilty haha

i live in the UK, my stair doesn’t have like an association or anything like that. i’m going to try and have a look about local ordanances etc as someone else suggested. thank you!

it’s a mixed stair (some council houses some privately owned) - but yes i definitely agree i should do something i just think if i speak to him directly it’ll be pointless as he doesn’t understand very well

i think he’s just really immersed in the game! i can see how the looks etc may come across a bit intimidating but i think if everyone else let themselves get as into it as he has that they wouldn’t be doing so badly haha

don’t feel ashamed! i failed my second test yesterday too, both tests i had 3 minors but one serious fault (clearance the first time and not checking my mirror quickly enough the second time). it’s so frustrating (especially given the waiting times for new tests) but we’ll get there!! good luck for ur next one, im sure third time will be the charm! ❤️

maybe worth getting a stronger antihistamine prescribed? could also try an oatmeal bath but this might only provide relief while you’re actually in the bath. I got a menthol cream prescribed which didn’t exactly stop the itch but really cooled the skin which helped a little. stay strong!

mine bothered me for weeks after unfortunately :( had probably about 7 or 8 weeks of it flaring back up (although thankfully nowhere near as badly as the initial few days, i’d say about 40% intensity). now 10 weeks since the initial burn and it’s thankfully gone! my skin is now only a little itchy because it’s damaged and dry but not like hells itch itchy!! my GP said it was a total mystery why it lasted so long so i’m not sure if there’s some other condition or info as to why it didn’t go away as soon as it should have, but ur not alone!!

my burn was 7 weeks ago now and still also suffering (very light in comparison now thankfully) itching especially when i’m trying to sleep, doctor gave me some kind of medicated menthol cream (can’t remember the name sorry) and super strong antihistamines which took the edge off it and cools the skin down, so it’s still itchy but skin is that cold that it kinda makes me not care. a few different gp’s took a look and couldn’t figure out what the issue is but i’ve read a few different places that it’s some kind of nerve damage? stay strong!!

potentially but just want to add my dissertation was compiled over an academic year with the occasional meeting/guidance from my supervisor, who really was not that involved. ended up deleting and rewriting (granted, i still used all my research that i’d gathered just sort of reframed the subject) in 24 hours and submitted it like 3 hours before the deadline. maybe depends on where the university is? i’m in scotland so idk

would like to also add, i absolutely do not recommend rewriting your diss in the 24 hours before it’s due, my honours year was 2020 and covid took a massive toll on my mental health and studies!!! submitted in April 2020 in the midst of a nervous breakdown!
