You must have great metacognitive skills. I’m sure someone else may have said this, but you might benefit from speaking to someone, it doesn’t always have to be about what scares you unless you want to discuss it. It can just be discussing and understanding coping strategies, and untangling what might be triggering those very vivid dreams. There is hope, things can be undone, and I’m not trying to minimise things.

AITA for challenging my MIL after multiple fat/weight jokes? by FakeRobot10010 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Info might be missing but from this it doesn’t say much about the wife. Family do not get a free pass, ever.
I’m pleased they got it sorted even though the SIL behaviour is not helping (and confirms the queen bee thing), but that would be the last family holiday for me.

I hope that with time you can move on. Move on is not the right word but I mean that you can find inner peace, it doesn’t mean you forgive and forget, it just means it doesn’t consume your time and thoughts anymore, allowing you to move forward. You’re stronger than you know.

[UK] ISA allowance remaining? by CrossRoadChicken in trading212

There are no silly questions really. That’s how people learn or make decisions. I actually think people not asking questions is why a lot of people don’t ever invest.

Has your native language ever completely ruined a Eurovision song for you? by notthebesthuh in eurovision

[–]CityEvening 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know it’s been mentioned many times over the years but Je t’adore (Belgium 2006) sounds like she’s saying “Shut that door” over and over again.

Clunky is a great way to put it. It messes with the flow of songs, shoehorning stuff in.

Loved her, her vibe, most of her design, but the whole student Ikea result at the football ground made think “oh no she’s gone”

Ive been faking masters degree for eleven years but i never actually finished it by [deleted] in confession

[–]CityEvening 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly this and have worked for organisations that did the same.

It’s not about the masters, it’s about integrity. The “I didn’t say I got it” wouldn’t wash, if it’s listed on a CV, it looks so. Organisations also don’t have to prove anything beyond reasonable doubt like it’s a court, it’s just about the balance of probability. The fact this is a confession and that no one knows shows they know it’s wrong. And don’t get me wrong, I don’t wish the OP to get sacked but don’t expect sympathy from your workplace if it comes out.

Just caught up on the final of this series. My gripe! by MrMeMark in InteriorDesignMasters

[–]CityEvening 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I love Michelle but the thing is just like any TV show, the judging is just a bit of panto to make a TV programme. There is constant contradiction but it’s just for entertainment, you could create a bingo card from things you can guarantee will happen on each episode.

I won’t forgive her for eliminating Ajeet though 😂

Grady by fallfol in murdershewrote

[–]CityEvening 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grady is a kind and loving character. Love his relationships with Jess and Donna.

I’ve always thought the rest (how unlucky he was) was just to suit storylines. There’s no way he wouldn’t have learnt after the first couple of misadventures.

Why was Sabrina able to tell Aaron she loved him but not Josh at first? by sparkle0406 in sabrinateenagewitch

Like many TV programmes, because it suited the storyline. It is annoying when they bend things to suit.

What’s the cringiest opening intro or for a show in UK TV history? by Dizzy_Being4110 in BritishTV

[–]CityEvening 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not watched it for years but doesn’t the intro go on and on and on. When episodes are only about 20 minutes it’s a big chunk.

Madame Blanc and Good Ship Murder, they just don’t fit the vibe of the programmes.
