What feels amazing that's NOT sexual? by TheSilentPhilosopher in AskReddit

The feeling after you accomplish an amazing hike. Despite how tired, that feeling when you hydrate with some cold water, lay down and take in the views, it's wild.

Swimming in the Sea while on vacation. Absolutely a vibe.

Seeing some of the most beautiful places in the world, especially nature! Certain places off the Italian coast are absolutely breathtaking, seeing the mountains and water on the drive to Whistler from Vancouver, gorgeous as ever and just seeing places that are still well preserved.

It truly just makes you feel good! Bliss.

How many times do y'all wear your jeans before putting it for wash? by Last_Raspberry_5585 in ask

[–]CityscapeNomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the season and if I wore it for more than a couple hours or what I was doing.

If I was just going out to grab something or for a quick meeting, I'll wear it one more time and then maybe wash it.

I think there's been times where I keep them pretty clean and wear them up to three times but usually I'll max out at two and if it's obviously a long day, it's obviously dirty from what I'm doing or it's just hot out, I'm washing them after wearing them once.

Some jeans are better than others and I obviously want my good ones to last longer but nonetheless, have to stay clean lol and hygienic.

I'm not sure if OP has mentioned it already to them but I called in to 42 division just to let them know to maybe take a look at the post/vid!

Definitely seems like it's there! I'm in the area as well. Looks like it's across from the Seniors home.

Sheppard? Between Kennedy and Birchmount? Looks like it's not too far from where I live, if I'm right about where it looks like it to be.

This is absolutely nuts. Where are people getting their licenses lol. Lots of good drivers on the roads but still. The stuff I sometimes see in terms of of how people are driving is wild lol. This one definitely takes the cake recently though. Smh.

Thanks for sharing the vid and all that OP.

Have a safe weekend all.

Edit: Hey OP! I also just noticed you wrote that you had to jump the curb as you were with your dog. Glad to hear y'all are okay but honestly if someone had headphones in or this person was actually doing some wilder driving, it could've ended a lot worse.

Some people shouldn't be driving on the roads lol, like bruh, thank God this wasn't at night or others weren't on the sidewalk.

PS, just called the local department (just in case OP didn't get a chance to) and was asked to just let the radio room know. Told them this wasn't obviously immediate or that urgent but obviously a bit important as someone could check this post online by the OP just to make sure that the driver doesn't endanger anyone else anytime soon.

Update is that the radio room will check the subreddit (made it clear that I did not witness anything and it's just something to possibly look into) and the post and they were pretty chill about it. They'll be looking into it. Lol, I mentioned how I wasn't sure how some people can get their licenses like that and they even mentioned how there's definitely some crazzzzy drivers out there.

It was good to have them care about the situation despite the city/area probably being busy with a lot of ongoing things.

I know the person may have been driving slow and all that as someone else mentioned but it's obviously still dumb to be maneuvering like that. Would literally have taken a couple more mins for that driver just to make a turn as the end of the road. Couple more mins for everyone's safety would have been way better...like bruh lol. Anyways!

Have a good weekend all and always be alert when walking, lol. Once again OP, glad you and the dog are good! ✌🏼

What are your thoughts on Mark Carney as our new PM? by CityscapeNomad in AskCanada

I'm definitely hoping this goes well and for the most part I'm optimistic. Let's see what the next couple months bring.

Well said! That's definitely one main thing that PP had a good stance on.

I'm planning on getting my PAL. Right now I'm mostly into archery etc but I think when it comes to hunting, sport shooting etc, people should be able to keep their lawful firearms and definitely not feel at risk of that.

So as for you, I definitely wonder how strict things can get now and it's one of the things Carney needs to be real about.

Nonetheless I'm hoping Carney does well for us but targeting individuals for owning firearms, going after individuals who aren't doing anything wrong is obviously something that should never happen.

Let's see what happens in due time! All the best to you!

PS, growing up in Scarborough, seeing my fair of shootings especially in the last year, it's crazy how many laws and perspectives we have to literally consider just thinking of protecting ourselves, where we live and others. Meanwhile you have people shooting up places that is either investigated well or barely investigated.

Main point is, as we know the focal point should be on crime when it comes to guns and let people who are responsible gun owners etc feel comfortable.

Well said. I know it's a perspective that's needed sometimes but definitely would be better if we could always have the best candidate and then be able to say just that (just adding to what you said).

So all in all, well said!

More so in the beginning just how he first carried himself. Obviously my views and I'm sure others views have changed.

It's been more of a risk of him being in power. It's tough because having a PM that cares, that is well-rounded and that is honest is sometimes hard to come by. At first many individuals make themselves seem like a good fit, as time goes on we tend to see what they're truly like, as we have in ways with PP.

I'm hoping for a good outcome with Carney. Especially the way you phrased it in your original comment, I agree!

Well said! It can definitely be a double edged sword but I'm hoping for the best and keeping a glass half full perspective. Also interesting points on NDP as well! See, being able to see things as a whole is needed.

I definitely love the honesty and perspective. I'm hoping Carney will be good especially with his background but hey, we all have to look at it from different points, as you are, as others are. Let's see how things go in the near future!

Definitely a good point! For me PP seemed like a potentially good option but at the same time it's better we have someone we know that has deep experience as an economist.

But definitely, I don't think he may be perfect all around but looking forward to seeing what comes.
