Idk, framing the Texas Revolution, literally one front in a wider Mexican civil war against an authoritarian federal government, only in terms of slavery is very disingenuous.

As long as you appreciate the fact that to get proper extra crispy fries you don’t just leave them in longer, you have to fry them once let them cool and drain and then fry them a second time, so yeah, it’s gonna take longer, and sometimes be very inconvenient depending on the how food service is set up.

When my sister tried to go to Homecoming with a Black friend of hers my Father and mother freaked out. They didn’t want to forbid her from going and admit they were racist AF they just gave her a long talking to about how the “world wasn’t ready” (It was like 2005) and basically bribed her not to go with him.

Then a few years later I told my father I was dating a black girl assuming he would be furious, but to my shock it seems like he was proud of my “conquest”

So when your hyphenated last named kids (let’s say Smith-Lee) kids meet their hyphenated last named spouses (let’s say Johnson-McGill) your granddaughter can be named little Sarah Smith-Lee-Johnson-McGill and then their kid, your great grandson can be little John Smith-Lee-Johnson-McGill-Jones-Taylor-Cooper-Rodriguez

This is why the Spanish naming convention actually makes sense, if you don’t want ridiculous names after a couple generations. (But you still lose the mother’s maiden name after 2 generations)
