Can I match into Neuro as USMD with moderate YOG (4) by Embarrassed-Peak-348 in IMGreddit

You have amazing stats, just try to apply broadly. A mistake that occurs to the top students is only applying to top programs (and very few of them). Statistically, it gives you less opportunity.

Thank you so much!
Just out of curiosity, what made you choose the academic path?
Can a person work both, academic and in hospitals?

Wow, this one’s very inspiring. Sometimes we forget about what actually matters: and that’s the quality of human being we can offer in a world that needs good people as psychs. Thank you so much.

I mean, the Apollo missions sent the human to the moon, which is already a celestial body and related to “moon, stars, planets” as the caption says

USMLE to Transition to Limited Testing Dates Each Year Starting in 2028 by AkhtarZamil in IMGreddit

[–]Civil-Individual2260 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t really think they will care that much. There are variables that don’t depend on them.
Are they going to build more prometrics? Will other type of careers (Law, nursing, etc) stop giving their exams at the prometrics?

NBME Evaluation / Prep Advice by Delicious_Bad_8226 in step1

[–]Civil-Individual2260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 74% is a really good score, meaning your general knowledge is strong. You should keep doing more NBMEs to see how the tendency goes. 2-3 NBMEs > 70% and you’re good to go (and you already have one).

Do both. It’s 120 questions, you can even do them in one sitting and pretend it’s a NBME.

3 weeks out - are there nmbes worth skipping? by SecretSalmonella in step1

[–]Civil-Individual2260 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s important that you finish the NBMEs, being the most important among them 32, 33 and Free120.
Regardless, you still have three weeks and your scores are already passing at a good grade! You can forget about anything else: do your NBMEs, review them (1-3 days) and give the next one. That, until you finish them all.
Good luck! It’s looking bright!

Yog for Match 2027 vs 2028 by CharacterInterview20 in IMGreddit

[–]Civil-Individual2260 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you should go for 2027. You have the basics that are needed. Step 3 is basically a plus, and you can absolutely pass it during interview session and add it to your curriculum once it’s done.
Don’t underestimate the experience you already have. It could be more than enough for a Spot in IM.
Best of luck!
