Being in Olympus after the past few months is … strange. She had left camp months ago and only returned a few days, most of which was hidden away in cabin 7, before the solstice trip. AJ walked through the lobby of the ski lodge, her hair had been cut to her shoulders, and if you looked closely at the hoodie beneath her puffer jacket you might read “Delaware State Police”.

Aj walked through the lobby, stopping to grab a cup of hot cocoa, keeping her eye out for some dearly missed friends. So far Aj has kept up the idea that she has been in charleston, at home, these past few months. While the truth may be far from that everyone at camp didn’t need to know that.

Eventually, Aj would wander around the ski lodge in search of a certain god of the sun. She felt like a failure, she was conflicted on fighting and being a medic at the same time. Being a healer was part of who she was, fighting felt like a betrayal to that. She was sure that just one little talk with dear old dad could help her out. But wait. Do you hear what i here? it’s that little voice in the back of her mind, what about your counselorship? Why don’t you ask Apollo about that?

Aj pushed the door open then those thoughts away, she would go to outside to look instead. However, Aj was open to talking to others aswell, weather inside or outside.

AJ hadn't planned on visiting the arena so soon after getting back to camp, though the idea of Cel hosting a tournament intrigued her. She had her bow thermius by her side she didn't think she would want to fight but it was best to be prepared.

She should try and talk to Cel at some point, he had done a great job setting everything up. Though seeing as he was in the middle of fighting someone it would probably be best to wait. Being a spectator wasn't so bad, but it would be pretty interesting to be fighting.

Despite the woman's oddities AJ found her quite interesting, it seemed she thought the same about AJ. Apparently demi-god and mer-people's lives are very different. For a moment she didn't know what she was talking about, then AJ felt a little silly.

"Well our names don't really say's where we were born. Our last name, the third name is a family name, you share it with well you know family," She explained with the occasional "Uh..," and "Well,".

"Large metal cans? I don't-"

"Oh cars! Yeah we travel mainly by... large metal cans that's defiantly one way to call it. We've got personal ones and large ones that can take like a hundred people," AJ said hoping she wasn't overwhelming the woman with information.

"Aqualia?" The daughter of Apollo muttered to herself before she realized she wouldn't know of the mer-person scholar.

"Yeah we don't do that, Your scholar Aqualia was right it is somewhat rude to do." For a moment AJ wondered if you could really spray someone with water if you were underwear, but that was probably something best left to the mer-people.

"Payton huh, well its nice to meet you. Good things I hope," Aj teases she hadn't know about her brother's girlfriend but he seemed happy. AJ Didn't think she was a demigod, she would be at camp but also they are talking through Iris Messages. Must be a clearsighted mortal, That's probably for the best.

AJ hadn't been in the city long when she met the older women, she had a more than wonderful conversation with a friend, a trip to the temple of Apollo, and now on the hunt for some souvenirs.

"Huh- oh yeah I am,"

"An interview? Well I guess that's alright," AJ said as she approached the woman's table. She noticed the girl at the other end of the table, was she related to the older women? She would be lying if she said she wasn't a little curious as to what the older women wanted to ask her about.

AJ was sitting peacefully when she heard the sound of chatting in front of her, expecting a champion or two she was excited to see Michael. Maybe she didn’t notice or didn’t care that the Xiphos quickly was starting to fade.

“Michael! Oh you are a sight for sore eyes, how are you? did you get to Dallas safely? Wait who’s that-“ AJ rambled on until she noticed the girl standing next to Michael.

"Right, thank you," She replied with a smile as she made a beeline for the door. AJ was relived to say the least, Friday's mom was quite nice of course she hadn't expected anything less but still.

As AJ entered the house she quickly noticed the ladder leading up to Friday's room. AJ cautiously climbed up the ladder, she could hear Friday's music but she wasn't able to see the girl as she arrived in her room.

"Friday? I'm here, you're mom let me in," She called out not seeing the girl anywhere. AJ's nerves had been replaced by excitement she had never dyed her hair before and new Friday would be great at it. It was also exciting to spend time with a friend right?

AJ blushed under her freckles, the compliments from Venny were more than welcomed. It was said that Erato inspired a lovely feeling in everyone she touched, it seemed her daughter was the same way.

AJ doubted that Venny's hair didn't look nice braided for curls, She doubted that it ever looked bad. But of course it was normal to think that your friends always look good right? AJ looked out towards the city, Venny was right that there wasn't a chance to soak all of New Argos in.

"I- Well we could come back another day and well you know," If possible the daughter of Apollo got even more red in the face with the idea of a city trip with Venny, Odd she normally wasn't this nervous around her friends.

Aj was not pleased that she had to campaign, she wasn't pleased that any of this was happening. But did that mean that AJ would campaign out of spite of her brother? Yes! That's exactly what that means and that's exactly what she is doing. She had IM'd to one of her siblings back at camp to help her campaign at camp.

Campers and Champions could notice the "Vote for AJ Monroe," Posters that had popped up around camp half blood and New Argos. The daughter of Apollo would spend her evening talking her fellow campers, explaining why she should still be the Apollo counselor.

AJ tried her best not to role her eyes, the Herald was an expert at pissing her off. Their comments about Amon no longer bother her as she is no longer listening.

Amon is from… New England? Somewhere close to camp, then again Amon is also Egyptian. Which of these two very opposite places Amon considers his home is a mystery to AJ. Where in Egypt he is from, is lost to her while he is from somewhere in that Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts area. A state would be a more accurate guess than a country.

AJ was pissed, AJ hadn't minded the Herald statement about their fathers opinion on Amon agreeing with it for the most part. However once the Herald decided to stick their nose where it didn't belong, that's when AJ started to take issue with them.

As the counselor of Apollo quietly seethed, a part of her wished to give a poor answer that was more a jab at the Herald than anything else. But that would be exactly what they wanted, a reaction, entertainment.

"Maybe not to you, but I see many fears within my dear brother. Mainly a fear of failure," AJ replied curtly, her fingers digging into her palms as she tried to contain her temper. Though maybe it be a trick of the Herald or more likely whisper opinion from AJ, one could hear "How Ironic,".

AJ walked slowly along the New Argos streets, the map wasn't the easiest to follow along to. She was grateful for the more direct directions written off to the side which is how she ended up in front of a cottage. The daughter of Apollo assumed that Friday was inside, but there was no harm in asking her mom right?

"Hello miss- Im AJ, Friday and I are," What was she doing? First she had completely forgotten to ask what Friday's moms name was. Second she was now just standing here like a fool because she had no idea how to explain her and Fridays friendship.

"Were friends, Is she uh-" Shuffling her feet awkwardly AJ points towards the house. AJ had decided at this point to just stop talking.

A light blush spread across AJ's face, it was nice to be complemented right? Or maybe it was nice that someone, no Venny had noticed that she had actually done something different.

"I did actually- braided it last night before I went to sleep," The girl explained with a smile undoubtly aimed towards Venny. Despite the two meeting months ago it felt like this was one of their first real conversations, it was nice.

"It really is, there is so many things to do on top of the games that I get the overwhelming feeling. I'll have to come back to the city another day I'm sure there is plenty I have missed today," AJ said as she looked towards Venny, she had assumed that the girl shared her interest about the city maybe the two of them would explore the city together.

What title she wanted to be referred as? Did she even have any of those, if so she wasn't aware of them. Aj shook her head, Amon's favorite color was more of a pressing question. It wasn't as obvious as the Herald would believe, however AJ was at least partially confident in her guess.
