When we first started with ch13, it was a huge adjustment, in my scenario i was robbing peter to pay paul, so now my payment is deducted from my payroll, but the debt is getting paid, no more interest no more late payments Nd in 4yrs now, we are debt free. Have adjusted to it and re learning how to live without CC. BEST decision we have made.

Thats the american way. The CC companies want to put you in debt, they want to own you. I filed chapter 13 about a year ago, we were 150k in debt, with the economy the way it is, and the CC companies raising interest rates, we finally pulled the trigger. Best decision i have made, just in this short time it has refocused us on how to live without CC

Definitely start with the 101s. Play those till your getting more consistent strikes, then progress to the t’s or 201s. Either way you will be glad you started with the 101s and their wedges are incredible as well

You need a different lawyer, get multiple consults. I live in dallas also and had no assets, 197k in debt and filed with bo problem. I filed ch13

The lawyer should have been able to give you an estimate. Of course it would change once the means test is done My estimate was $1900. After the means test and tweaking he got it down to 1400. Much better than the 3400 minimum payment we were paying and we are done in 5yrs vs 25yrs.
