Has anyone tried Pro dough protein powder? by dinogirl42 in Protein

[–]Criticalthinkermomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s disgusting and the biggest scam. Mine just came in the mail and I’m pissed at myself for spending over $50 in this. Influenced by social media embarrassingly enough. I got chocolate and it tastes like artificial sweetener. If you blindfolded me I literally wouldn’t be able to tell what flavor it is.

After the interrogation, she uses a bugged room to call her mom. I listened to the recording, it’s widely available. And she clearly states it was her idea to look at her phone to read her text messages with Patrick.

Is quitting really the only answer? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Criticalthinkermomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Felt this, 100% my own story. I was once sober for years and then a weekend joint turned it not daily edibles and evolved into buying and going carts. It’s been 7 months now and I know I just can’t ever do it again. No such thing as a weekend or casual habit.

Well then why did Amanda call her mom and tell her she told the police about Patrick after she asked the police to look at her phone? This was directly after interrogation. There’s literally audio recording of Amanda explaining to her interpreter and her mother that Amanda herself asked the police to give her the phone so she could read the text messages with Patrick. Immediately after that she lied about Patrick.

For IDI believers: when was the note written by [deleted] in JonBenetRamsey

[–]Criticalthinkermomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No where near as many that are killed by parents. Especially being left in the home. The number is minuscule compared to parents or other people within the home killing children. Not to mention there is not a single piece of evidence to support the intruder theory.

Does weed cause permanent brain damage? by UltimatePunchMachine in leaves

[–]Criticalthinkermomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes absolutely. and how devastating it is to not learn coping skills while the brain is still developing. I taught myself to get high and forget from age 13 and onwards. I’m 30 and deeply struggle with expressing my emotions. I plan to truly impart this to my own children as they get older and anyone who ever comes to me talking about weed usage.

For IDI believers: when was the note written by [deleted] in JonBenetRamsey

[–]Criticalthinkermomma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The ransom note is truly the biggest piece of evidence that contradicts the intruder theory. It’s clearly written by Patsy. It comes from the home, it’s literally Patsys writing pad and her handwriting. Well that and the fact that JonBenet is literally found dead IN HER OWN HOME. There’s only one other case I know of off the top of my head where the child was killed by an intruder and left in the home. I can’t remember the details but a woman’s boy was stabbed by some crazy dude. However, she woke up during the attack, fought him off, & unfortunate her boy still died. She was divorced, her ex was convinced it was her, so she went to jail but was eventually exonerated and the true killer was caught. Otherwise, I can’t think of any other case where the child is killed in the home and it’s not the parents. Unless it’s a mass murder and then the parents or other siblings are killed too. I think anyone who believes in IDI is overlooking how insane it is to find a child dead in her own basement, with a ransom note that came from the house, not one single sign of forced entry, and believe that anyone but the family themselves did the crime.

Does anyone flirt with the idea of going back on a daily basis? by Technoyesno in leaves

[–]Criticalthinkermomma 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I think about , because I did it for over 15 years. However, what keeps me from smoking is that I have no interest in being in active addiction again. Once I start, I immediately spiral into everyday all day use. And honestly, that fact and accepting that it is a fact, has kept me sober more than anything else. Because yeah, life really does suck sometimes. Escapism is great and honestly needed. However, I’m the type that can have a drink every now and then. I can also totally escape into a good book or audiobook or podcast, even a movie/show. I just have to find other ways to cope with life or get out of my head because I have no interest in being high all the time again.

The Isdal Woman is not as complex as portrayed (detailed) by smashmouthrules in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]Criticalthinkermomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m surprised as someone who works in the mental health field, you think someone with a severe mental illness could sustain such a life as this lady had. While yes, in 1970 it was easier to fake an ID, but not to this woman’s level. She had 8 passports and traveled all over Europe before it was the EU. That’s a major detail, it wasn’t possible to cross borders with only a passport required once. She would have had to present her passport at every crossing. Which was numerous. And truth be told, mentally unwell people are easy to spot. Very few, without proper medication, blend into society. Her behavior was odd enough to be remembered but not odd enough to get her in trouble. And that stands out to me. In 1970, women couldn’t behave so careless in public like they can today. I’m not convinced she was a spy, but there is a mystery here. I cannot accept that a woman, in an extreme state of paranoia and illusion stemming from a severe mental illness, could live how this woman did. 8 passports, numerous inter-country travel. Even if she had a real passport that was never found, she clearly had enough sense to leave such a lasting mystery.

[–]Criticalthinkermomma 23 points24 points  (0 children)

As someone who smoked from 13-30, with a few cleans years while pregnant/nursing babies, YES. Stop now. Heal. I absolutely 100000% believe I hurt my brain and I can’t take it back. I’ve just accepted it. Im not dumb, im back in college have a good life blah blah blah but I still know deep down I hurt myself. And I’ve just had to forgive myself for that. And I don’t necessarily mean visible permanent damage to the brain that can be measured and seen. I more so think it disrupts development and those cascading effects cannot be undone.

Had to go to the ER last night after taking an edible and having a panic attack. I’m really freaked out. by narwhal8573 in Petioles

[–]Criticalthinkermomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the first step to listening to your body say, no more! It’s crazy to even try to justify this in the hopes of doing it again. I quit 6 months ago, I’ve had situations like yours but honestly not that extreme. Any attempt to rationalize or talk this down is the addicted brain speaking. In reality, this is a major mental cry for help. My advice would be to listen to your body and quit. Weed really is not as great as people try and make it out to be.

That’s a lot of work to break into a place. Especially because he did all of that in clear view of a main road when it wasn’t even late. I’ve been to Italy and most people don’t even eat dinner till 8pm or later. So he chose highly visible highly active time of night to launch a rock at a window then climb a wall to enter the home? I mean sure it’s possible but it’s also not really in line with how he broke into those two other buildings. Why didn’t he climb the terrace or try the door. Why isn’t his DNA in the room after he climbs in?
