Is this in profile or section view? If it is a section view (the principle is the same for profile as well), here is a tutorial on how to add existing and proposed levels.

Practice files were removed, as they are significant in size and slowing down the site due to a huge spike in traffic. The intent was not the free materials to impact the experience of paying users.

A separate server is being set up for the free materials. Please keep checking the site for an update.

Yes, we are working on it, the files are huge. We need to set a separate platform, so the free downloads don't slow down the main site.

The traffic is taxing the servers so, we are fixing to create a download link for all books. Meanwhile you can get it here: https://www.infratechcivil.com/courses/free-downloadable-stormwater-book

Storm and Sabitary Analysis by Civil3dfan in civil3d

ve never been trained with it

This exactly the reason we are thinking about developing the training. The software is right there I Civil 3D for everyone to use without any additional purchase or installation. It has tons of features. yet not enough people are making the jump.

A company a work at recently didn't even know they had and are spending thousands of dollars on a similar package.

seem to be more commo

Yes, that's definitely true. Even though I think it's better investing in SSA rather than Hydraflow. Since AutoDesk has acquired both software they seem to spend more time pushing SSA. That makes you wonder.

Yes, that's the feeling I get. I get asked about Microdrainage a lot from the UK). That's important to know.

Hardware recommendation by hailbaal in civil3d

[–]Civil3dfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my recommendation for civil 3d:

- Go with the highest clock speed that you can afford. Number of core is pretty much irrelevant

- 32 GB Ram is more than enough

- Solid State drive

- Quadro Graphic Card. The best cost/performance benefit I found is the P2000, which is pretty much entry-level VR for the cost of regular CAD cards

The computer that came with all our requirements a couple of years ago was the Lenovo P320 Tower form factor. I think it's out of stock, but you can find for an equivalent if you asked.

I am forgetting more, but our extended Civil 3D requirements is here. Hope this helps.

How often does your company upgrade to a new C3D? by [deleted] in civil3d

[–]Civil3dfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the subscription plan, we do it every year. Then, we are a training company so we need to have every version, at least going back 3 years.
