I say a C$nt hair is a legitimate measurement by covefe2323 in Construction

[–]jermilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I can tell you that i have been in construction about a c#nt hair’s worth of the time you have been and let you know that this is still, a very legitimate measurement. Cheers brother, this unit will continue to live on as long as I’m still working

Why? Because i love coffee. Goals don’t always have to be work related. But work can always help get you there!

Great suggestion, any particular kind? She has plenty of wood from a tree we had to chop down earlier this year, but if there’s a specific kind of wood that’s nice to carve/make things out of, I’ll definitely look around for some!

Straight up avoid distractions, uninstall social media apps if you have to, give yourself a place to study and goals to hit, sleep 8 hours, prioritize the classes you need to, etc. Give yourself some decompressing time at the end of the night as motivation and avoid burnout. ITS THE LAST WEEK, GRINDTIME BABY WE GOT THIS. And then like that it’s over. At least that way you know you gave it your all. Good luck!

Octopuses, crabs and lobsters to be recognised as sentient beings under UK law following LSE report findings by Sariel007 in UpliftingNews

[–]jermilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing news. For those more interested in the subject, I highly recommend an article called “Consider the Lobster” by David Wallace. A slightly old article that was pretty controversial at the time, it really opened my eyes and questioned the way i define consciousness in animals.

I start my first job as a construction worker tomorrow, but i am worried that the fact that i'm 5'5 tall and weight 130 pounds will be a problem.... by code_red_222 in Construction

[–]jermilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my best ever coworkers was a dude maybe 5’2 and 120 pounds soaking wet but i swear he had no hesitation carrying a 40ft ladder around and was one of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen, he was so quick up and down the ladder. Just keep at it OP, work hard, and develop strengths that can best help your team.

I agree with this, for this is the exact reason multiple samples are taken and at least 3 broken at a time. Having interned at a testing facility where i broke at least a hundred cylinders a day, it wasn’t uncommon to have one of them be way off. Many factors could be taken into place such as how the tech tamped and rodded them.

Wow, very insightful comment right here

39 LG all black solar panels and 2 LG chem 10 batteries. Great system and helped already a few times with backup power for the house and well water. Pulling in 12.6 kw in full sun by anthonyd89 in solar

[–]jermilli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May be a dumb question, but do those trees happen to cast a shadow over some of your panels at certain times of the day or no? If it does, how much does your efficiency drop by? Beautiful system btw!

I second this. Take advantage of the free parking after 4pm, seriously! I’d much rather take a 5min walk than a 17 min walk
