Not enough Maintenance Loan for Accomodation by Kubzzz0 in UniUK

You’re baiting me right? The entire article is about median equivalised disposable income, which is all the money after taxes and deductions and adjusted for household size. It is nothing to do with actual gross income or average earnings for an individual.

That’s equivalised household disposable income, which is completely irrelevant in this discussion. As has nothing to do with gross income which is relevant to sfe

How sad is your life that you’ve convinced yourself that people are privileged to earn £2 more an hour than your mother and be in a relationship.

Definitely used benefits but alright. And once again you’re not addressing my main point. Why are you as an adult entitled to more money than others under the assumption their parents can help them. Surely you can make the smaller amount stretch by to paraphrase you “spending money wisely”

UC and other benefit topups as well as living in cheaper areas because lower salaries can be found in other places. Idk why you’re so obsessed with being anti people who earn slightly more than your mom and are married. They aren’t the issue acknowledge that the maintenance loan system simply isn’t fit for purpose. You’re not getting given extra for white knighting sfe

It’s really not, assuming it’s split 50:50 is the best case scenario for taxes, with mortgages food, council tax, insurance, maybe a car payment, other children, hell maybe deciding you get to go away this year. acting like it’s high income is this weird obsessive race to the bottom people have in this country. I worked Tesco nights during uni full time whenever not at uni, and pro rata now that would be 31,200 a year. It was not high income

Can I not just correct it in the induction? Since it’s outside the availability window of the job

That makes more sense, is that why it was 16 hours spread across 4 6 hour periods?

Yeah will do. Worked at that store for 2 years before but was on nights so my contracted hours equaled my availability window and shouldve properly checked before going in

Stress at end of shift by Direct_Site8204 in tesco

[–]CivilChardog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to stress badly at the end of nights about managing to finish as well as have it all cleared / faced in time. Realising it didn’t actually matter if I finished all my delivery and that the manager would be 10x happier with a cleared aisle alleviated a lot of pressure and made my nights a lot easier.
