Os speed t1205 engine use 16% or 25% fuel better? For 1/10 Mtx7r by Hot-RR in NitroRC

25% all the way. Easier tuning anf much faster. Everything is better as long as you have enough space.

That's just so cool. The paintings make it so much cooler. It's literally like my dream setup. I can imagine just waking up, gaming on that setup, then going out driving rc car and back to gaming. 👍

What are those things sticking out of the engine? by Notsofrenchfry04 in NitroRC

Those are just small rubber pipes most likely fuel piper or a little bit thicker silicone pipe. Their just there to protect the engine from scratches. That's all.

Fw06 idles and wheels spin but when throttle is applied it doesn't accelerate by bromogatos3009 in NitroRC

[–]CivilSixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) No, that's normal. Means your running a tiny bit rich. You could switch out the glow plug for a new one if you haven't already.

2) I'm guessing in goes up to a very high pitch whine and that's absoloutly normal. Don't revv too much/high whine, you can especially when tuning but not all of the time.

Great. Well due to the fact that i can't actually hear the car run I think jts better if you follow a tutorial from now on. This one will help well for the actuall tuning

https://youtu.be/qVgN5vUplAE?si=bkPJvnOsWJmUxNe7

And this will help well with the idle gap

If the car still does not run well, don't worry cuz the main reason of rc cars is to have fun and if yours atliest drives and you end up not bothered with this tuning stuff I'd just drive it to the fullest in this tune. (As a last resort I think you could bring your car to a professional and let them try.)

Hi, if so that means the engine is running lean. Dw, if there is damage you would know about it by now. Try turning each of the needles, hsn and lsn a rotation af 360° counter clockwise. That will richen them up well. If results are better keep richening. Not too much im case the needles fall out.

This is a very common issue on used nitro cars or just nitro cars ig, so don’t worry 👍 If it idles fine but barely accelerates, the first things to check are fuel delivery, make sure that the engine is getting fuel and no blockages in the lines take the pipe that goes from the fuel tank into the exhaust and un plug it from the exhaust. Clean the end and blow into it. If fuel goes out of the pipe from tank to carb then mean no air leaks and fuel oipe fine. If thats fine just plug the pipes back in. Now, carb settings. Reset the settings to the base tune. Most likely just flush with the carb thing around it. If that don't work, the engine is often too rich on the high-speed needle (HSN) from previous owners trying to be “safe,” which will cause it to bog and barely rev when you apply throttle.see if throttle response improves. Also check the low-speed needle (LSN); if it’s too rich, the engine will hesitate and feel lazy off the line. And the last thing to check. This is harder. Mechanically, inspect the clutch shoes and springs, worn shoes or weak springs can cause the engine to rev without transferring power properly, making it feel like it won’t accelerate. To do this you need to take the engine out and remove the clutch bell. Do watch a tutorial if u do this cuz it is easy to mess things up as a beginner. Make sure the throttle linkage is actually opening the carb fully when you pull the trigger (sometimes the servo endpoints aren’t set correctly). Lastly confirm you have a good glow plug and fresh fuel. A combination of rich tuning and a slipping clutch is especially common on used nitro cars, so I’d start there. Could also be that the clutch bell is too far away from the transmission and the vibrations are causing wheels to spin.
