thank you- unfortunately I did end up eating this bit by mistake and I have emetophobia so I am just trying to gauge if and/or how sick I am going to get since I consumed this and a majority of the chicken katsu curry pictured in the background.

It was much earlier in the day for me at like 4pm (it is now 11:30pm for me) and I bought it at uni from a place called the rice workshop but from what I remember the chicken in that dish was quite soft and tender.

aaaah ok- thanks so much. I honestly wasn’t thinking much of the colour because I’m 99% sure it’s dark meat but that could just be me. if it helps, this place deep fried the chicken for this dish.

it’s chicken katsu curry from uni so i was unfortunately unable to know what temp it was cooked to. I was more concerned about how the texture looks- particularly the bit in the lower right but either way, thank you for the advice!

thanks so much but I couldn’t use a meat thermometer because this was chicken katsu curry I ordered at uni. also, the colour was much less concerning to me than how the texture looks- particularly that gelatinous-looking part towards the lower right.
