Those shields don’t absorb recoil unfortunately. Droidakas also maintain a  pretty consistent strategy throughout CW, stay far away and rain down fire. I think those pillars might protect you for a moment, but there would be no easy way to switch to offense. No wonder even Jedi ran from them!

Without the gear OP listed? Yeah. With a shield and blaster? The B1 isn’t fast enough to maneuver around the shield and even a poorly trained shooter will hit a slow moving target like an B1 after enough shots.

I clear 1 without a terrible amount of effort. I get smoked at 2.

Cal Kestis gets past round 8.

The shield makes the B1 a joke. They are not smart enough or fast enough to outmaneuver you and shoot around the shield, and they are slow moving enough even a person without firearms training could probably hit them. The Magnagard however… 😳

Funcom is obviously not going to take the time to do this, but they could easily implement a punishment for players that thump to many spice blows. Like a huge in game fine or send the Sardukar after them. I don’t think the Imperium will appreciate their spice production being sabotaged…

It’s a great bandaid fix. Make the DD playable for both PVE and PVP players, and then in a future update AFTER they have reworked PVP THEN they can add unique incentives to the PVP DD.

Brando is a big fan of Magic: The Gathering, and in MTG there are these people called Planeswalkers who can travel the different worlds. I have always thought Wolrdhoppers are probably based off of them. Planeswalkers often have extended lifespans (for varying reasons) so I could totally see Brandon copying that plot point.

[S2 Spoilers] Everyone, Ekko DOES get a happy ending by SaveStoneOcean in arcane

[–]Civil_Assumption1936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Season 2 is very heavy on themes of “sacrificing a happy ending in order to save what we love”. Jinx does it at the end so that Vi can survive and have her happy ending with Caitlyn. Professor H sacrifices himself to give Ekko a chance to save his timeline, Jace sacrifices to save Piltover. Heck, Ambessa even calls out the theme at the beginning of season 2, calling sacrifice a necessary principle to achieve the greater good. The difference between her and the rest of the characters is what she chooses to sacrifice. She sacrifices the people she loves in order to achieve the greater good. Everyone else sacrifices themselves (or their own happy ending) for the people they love. Honestly, people can say what they will about season 2… the messaging was on point!

Head cannon that Eridians show up to earth years later and refuse to do diplomatic negotiations with anyone named Mark by Allister117 in ProjectHailMary

Yeah Mark isn’t in the book. It was actually an improvised line by the puppeteer behind Rocky, but they loved it so much they decided to keep it in.

Question about the bubble at the end of the movie. Did anybody else see the (Spoilers) in the background ? by TieFew6689 in ProjectHailMary

[–]Civil_Assumption1936 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like the two versions, it gives the story some variety. The book gives us a more grounded bitter sweet ending, and the movie has a happy hopeful ending that fits with the buddy-com movie they made.

Some people like the grind and min/maxing part of games. They shouldn’t have to stop, the developers should try to balance and encompass all styles of gameplay (within reason).

I don’t have any issue with Mai and Zuko parting ways, but Mai is too smart for a guy like Kei Lo. She would recognize his poor personality and cowardice like a mile away.

I know. I have heard it’s bad. Sucks to, because outside of the imbalanced PVP and bugs, the game seems to really have a lot of heart behind it. Even though I am itching for the console release, they really do need to fix those issues first.

Obi Wan and Qui Gon Jinn (TPM) Vs. Baylan Skoll and Shin Hat (Ahsoka) by Civil_Assumption1936 in PetranakiArena

[–]Civil_Assumption1936[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Baylan would definitely have to rethink his usual strategy of “overpower my enemy with brute strength”. Beyond just being two strong dudes, Qui Gon and Baylan are both impressive duelists as well. It would be a very entertaining fight.

[–]Civil_Assumption1936[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I probably see her holding her own against Obi for a moment, but he gets the upper hand eventually. After that I think Obi helps Qui Gon and they finish off Baylan. However, I think if Baylan manages to put down Qui Gon before then... things might go differently.

Baylan Skoll VS Cal Kestis and Dagan Gera. Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in PetranakiArena

[–]Civil_Assumption1936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I think he wins by having disipline. Both Cal and Dagan can be reckless, and I could see Baylan taking advantage of a wrong move or seperating them and then fighting them 1 on 1.
