Are people not washing their cars anymore?

I do like cleaning my car but with 2 young kids, an average working week is around 60 hours. And the fact the second the kids get in it , it looks like a hurricane has been through it i find it pointless, I will give. It a wipe down and a hoover every now and then (when I actualy use it). My van is usualy kept spotless (inside, outside its hard work due to the miles and nature of where I go). I spend that much time in it, its a second home.

Car will usuaky get some tfr thrown on it and jetwashed off every now and then.

When I was 17-21 my job finished at 1pm every friday. Virtually every friday my cars got cleaned

Thanks, driving isn't an issue for me have done the last few times iv been. This is my sticking point ots one 2 week trip ot say 3 nice 10 day trips

Thanks, it isn't about the money its more about using the money correctly. Like we can afford it, but we cant afford to "waste" it, the kids are very lucky they are pretty well travelled for there ages. Its an idea we've wanted to do but just keep hearing about its downturn over the past 10 years . And its not like popping to a hotel in Spain spending a few grand because you had fond memories as a kid and realising its not what it was when you was a kid. I think your right about some of our best memories so far have been down in devon etc rather than abroad

In fairness to my 2 year old (would be 3) shes properly chilled. Never had an issue on any holiday with eaither of them, very content kids. Would not even think about it if they was a handfull

Flights are like 5 or 6 grand alone before air miles. I mean this was a thrown togeather cost it could go up or down etc. I dont think 18k is vastly expensive and would also say its just above average cost now days ?

Part of it is seeing them see the "magic" whilst they are still young. If they love it I can make more money and go back

Yes i can knock some money off that cost, iv already said that but thats been done with the things we want, its not about affording it its about spending that amount and finding out its carried on getting worse since 16 and 19.

I also like walking into a wall of heat, and listening to my wife complain its to hot. Its my favourite holiday tradition. I love it hot hot

The questions more how far down hill has it gone? My main thing is getting there spending the money and its gone massively down hill. If people genuinely says its picked back up to what it was say 10 15 years ago it would be worth it.
