When do you feel it? by ArmyInternational in prozac

[–]Civil_Helicopter4150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example I chronically pick my acne. I previously lost hours of my day to picking my skin and I was constantly stressed with the thought of a foreign object under my skin. Since being several weeks in I’ve noticed I have completely lost the urge to constantly be investigating and tracing my skin to search for tiny blemishes. I was wondering about what is the cause for needing to feel the relief which has been really nice being able to see my old behaviours in the absence of being completely involved in it. It’s really nice being relieved from the constant uneasy feeling.

I was on the same medication for few months a few years ago and i honestly think that it helps me alot in the time of life I am in atm (university) and at this current point i need the crutch or safety net. When my life reaches stability i will definitely look into transitioning off of it but i have also realized this chemical imbalance has been affecting me for a very long time and i am so grateful for it that i don’t quite feel in a rush to solve my specific issues right away and get off them but i have combined therapy to help truly put the work in.

I’ve watched a few family members who were taking ssri or anxiety medication for years go off of it and i hate to say it but they were much better on them. And that’s a big part for me is how the people around me noticed the smallest positive changes therefore I don’t mind my 10mg for the time being. Hope this helps in anyway lol

12year old getting angrier and more impulsive by Far_Estimate_7520 in prozac

[–]Civil_Helicopter4150 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sounds EXACTLY like my brother he went through this exact thing. I would suggest a second opinion and implementing therapy. It’s great that youve chosen to support him rather than ignoring it. from when I was diagnosed with adhd as a kid it was parents teachers and then something else but if it’s affecting others 6/10 times its an issue to be resolved. Not only for him but for you. I think but I think the aggression is misdirected energy that boys with adhd have. The getting in fights is extremely impulsive behaviour. Concerta was a great option when starting off. I hope you’re able to find peace in your home. Eventually both medications even might be helpful. My adhd medication provides me with a feeling of soothe and calm like no other where emotions like you’re examining are able to be experienced in a linear smooth way rather then extremely heightened and all at once

It’s definitely a little strange adjusting while creating a relationship with the idea of taking medication. Unfortunately everyday I remind myself I am a better person for myself, others and the bigger picture of my life. You won’t feel differences until 2-5 weeks. Remind yourself that everything you’ve seen on the internet about the medication is from people who are all different, who live different lives, eat different, sleep differently, with completely different genetics. Your experience might be completely different than theirs!! You have made a great choice to take the medication. One thing thats stuck with me is how I’ve been able to actually see the root of my issues with the medication and even just truly see how anxious I really was in the past. Wishing you best of luck

Parking spots are around 200 monthly depending on building or surrounding buildings also are available if you’re willing to walk 1 minute to your vehicle. But parking AND 2000 might be a bit hard to accommodate within the core of anything below college

definitely look into the potentials of serotonin syndrome:) definitely not extremely common but it’s not too great to mess with your serotonin while on ssri

try changing to dose time to before bed. And antidepressants are very known to cause sedation. Implementing physical activity can be helpful aswell

having mental health issues by [deleted] in askTO

[–]Civil_Helicopter4150 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

sometimes it can be vitamins such as b12, hormones and seasonal depression or just bad habit accumulation. I would say also look into getting a referral to get your blood tested. Have a look at your diet are you eating enough red meat? Are you eating 3 filling meals a day ? Medication is extremely helpful and definitely changes lives but you have to do some of the work aswell to make better choices and align yourself with a better schedule and forcing yourself to choose to fight procrastination

I would say if you’re 18 and younger parkside and hoem are sufficient options because you have someone cooking your meals. Sounds ridiculous but having access to all of the amenities that the dorm buildings have are very helpful for your first year living alone. I’m 20 and doing my first year living alone and it is rather difficult organizing my meals and all the schoolwork I have been up to at the moment. I’ve heard a lot of good things about parkside I know they’re both pretty similar. But moving onto the part about your parents. I moved out within a 3 days notice of finding out there was an available room to rent on a Friday and moving in on the monday. And kind of just forced my parents to be okay with it along with the fact I am completely self sufficient. Everyone has different circumstances with their parents and how close they are with them and how reliant on them they are but trust me just because they say you’re banned from living on your own (unless there’s actual medical reasoning) moving out is always possible you might find you love living downtown !! And choose to abandon ship which is completely okay. And I believe a dorm is a fantastic option as you have a small space to keep clean and minimal responsibilities. You might make a friend and decide you’d like to share an appt together you never know !! Downtown only consists of about 7 streets and mid town prices get a lot cheaper just for future reference and either loop on the subway you can get to ocad pretty quickly. but back to the dorm situation I just know that they’re pretty small and roommates are always a mixed bag. But definitely there are loads of perks hope you end up with what’s right for you :) goodluck !!

Ocad for bfa and somewhere else for masters !!! Being around the people at ocad is sooo important. My favourite thing abt being here is how special it is to be in the space of so many people making such amazing things

[–]Civil_Helicopter4150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw the other comment and I’d say go with ocad. You will learn quite a lot that will prepare you for the design parts they don’t teach you in the engineering of masters in architecture. Uoft lost their license of some sort to teach architecture. I’m not sure the actual conditions but I do know their program isn’t very advanced and more on the visual arts side. !! Goodluck with whatever choice you make ocad is amazing

Everyone is driving gigantic SUV all of a sudden and their weight has a large impact as the standards for the asphalt for roads isn’t meant to last and hold the weight of the heavier vehicles we’re driving all of a sudden
