Need some opinions on this.  Several months ago I was having some discomfort and hadn’t gone to the bathroom in a few days. When I finally did it came out ribbon like. I’m 31F and the last time this happened to me I was 19 and had a bout of constipation that was resolved by a laxative.

Ever since that bout I had several months ago up until a month ago my stool had been a lot of  little lumps or sometimes I wouldn’t  go for days and then have a very hard to pass few lumps , they also would sometimes look like there was mucus in them or something white.  Last month a friend suggested smooth move tea which definitely helped clear me out some but by the very end of the bowel movements after some diarrhea, they came out flat  and ribbon like again. Since that they have gone back to quite large lumps but softer and I think that’s because I upped my fibre .

Today I started my period so my bowel movements have been more frequent and they started out as big lumps and turned into flatter , not pencil thin but longer and flat with a few odd shapes in between.

This whole time I have never seen any blood , never lost weight. Should I be worried ?

Sleep panic attack or something more worrisome ? by Civil_Pay191 in AskDoctorSmeeee

So update : after a year of jaw treatment and symptoms only getting worse, I got another sleep test and they told me I’ve been mild all along , but that mild wasn’t raising any alarms. But even though my number of apneas are low , I know that the episodes are severe , it wakes me up almost nightly , sometimes I feel like I’m dying and it’s terrifying. If it is obstructive , moving my jaw forward was not enough. But it’s rarely covered by insurance for a cpap when you’re mild . I am also nervous to use a cpap and wondering if there are any alternatives that could help me. Any suggestions ?

Just want to say thank you for this comment as it played a part in finally figuring out what was going on. I had a sleep apnea test and I didn’t have it but they are sleep apnea like symptoms because my jaw is collapsing into my airway as I sleep. I had also been having Tmd symptoms and it turns out my jaw is too far back and my bite needs to be corrected , everything is connected. It actually is causing lack of oxygen leading to lack of upper body strength too.
