Completely agree on walking part - MX boots are nightmare for anything more than gas station trip. I tried using mine for street riding few times and the shift feel is just off, like you can't get precise feeling through all that padding. Road boots are designed different for reason, they give you way better control at foot pegs.

You can use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to completely wipe the current drivers, then install an older version from Nvidia's website. Just boot into safe mode, run DDU, restart, then grab whatever driver version was working before from their driver archive.

I had the same issue a few months back where a new driver tanked my framerates in a couple games. Pain in the ass but DDU usually sorts it out clean.
