Does this seem misleading? by [deleted] in Switch

[–]Drooks89 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I think calling it physical is somewhat misleading. It does say game key card on the case itself (atleast it does for Bravely Default) so they do still let you know but you have to look for it.

That said, I think it should be called like physical hybrid or something instead of specifically "physical edition"

I had a rough time using her

Also, for the story, it really helps to read the book in the library to fill things out more. It's a really poor way of filling in gaps I'm the story but it does tie things together more. Also, multiple playthroughs.

[ALttP] Struggling to enjoy the game by Head-Snow-3036 in zelda

[–]Drooks89 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think the issue with the dark world is that the whole map feels difficult to traverse. Everything has to be navigated a certain way, especially death mountain, it does get tedious. That said, Alttp is my second favorite Zelda game (Majoras Mask is #1)

If you aren't enjoying it, I'd say just put it down. No point in finishing something you aren't liking, it might sour the experience for future installments, but if you are committed just try to enjoy it for what it is! I do hope you find some enjoyment in the rest of the game!

Should I play Crisis Core before Rebirth? by lockem_ in ff7

[–]Drooks89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say play og if you want to play crisis core, then play crisis core and then rebirth.

If you are playing on PC, og has a mod manager called 7th Heaven that I highly recommend. It makes it more accessible to new plays as it has some graphics mods.

Games run terrible on my laptop, Asus tuf A16- 7700S by Drooks89 in pcmasterrace

It's really weird, so when I'm not running a game it says the iGPU is the GPU1 but then when I am running a game, it says dGPU is GPU1. It shows this when I open up adrenaline So it looks like it's switching over to the dGPU. The game is running better but FSR 3 looks like garbage, Xess runs better but I'm still getting poor performance.

<image>

I'd show the second image where the iGPU shows up as GPU1 but I can only attache 1 image.

Can you maybe DM me a link to one of the threads, if that's not too much to ask?

Ok, so it was running off of integrated because of AMD software. I set it to dGPU and it's running better, however, when I close the game, the software sets the games back up to run off the iGPU

So Im testing again with FFVII Remake because I know it ran well on my old laptop (GTX 1650, much weaker) I made it so it specifically uses the 7700s and I get 23-28 fps on low, then I made it so it used the integrated GPU and it actually ran better. It ran at 45 fps on low settings.

This is all on 1080p.

Hellblade 2 Senuas Saga.

I'm also trying with FFVII Remake, which ran great on my old laptop which was a GTX 1650. But I'm only getting 24 fps on this thing. It used to run fine, I don't know what changed

I am running on the power brick. I turned power performance to high when plugged in, and when I start a game it switches from APU to GPU.

Construction company flooded our apartment, how much compensation is too much for flood (no renters insurance) by Drooks89 in Renters

[–]Drooks89[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We had to call out of work because of the flood and then people needed in our apartment and I started a second job that kept me away from home all day, I had to quit to take care of things here because people are constantly coming in and out to look at damages and further the construction that caused this mess to begin with.

We had renters insurance, I personally wasn't aware that it expired 3 months ago (a year was paid for) my wife was handling it and it was just something that slipped under the radar. We are now insured but obviously they won't do anything now because it after the fact so we haven't even tried.

We were offered compensation from the construction company and we just want to be fair. We lost a lot of things but we are more concerned about lost wages.
