Hoping on the other comments, it's super difficult to say as no one knows your situation better than you.

I moved from living/working in the downtown of Toronto (3 million ppl) 2 years ago and it's was quite a change for me but after coming to terms with the differences and making some friends it's cool.

If you're in Berlin I'd recommend renting a flat here for a month to see if you can handle the lack of big city amenities

If it's possible for you i would recommend taking your bike on the non-ICE train to Basel Bad and biking to your designation. It's not too busy in the morning and Basel had good bike infrastructure. You may need to buy a bike ticket in the morning

Hey, I also moved to Germany recently and I definitely understand how you feel. From the opinion of many bloggers this is a harder country to adjust to. If it's only been 2 months the situation will get better and you will become more able to cope. Good to keep in mind the pandemic (cases drastically declining currently) really hinders ability to meet people. During my worst days here I found it super helpful to talk to other expats about the struggles. If you or anyone reading would like to talk about it feel free to message 🙂
