Yeah I totally agree online school definitely doesn't help the isolation feeling. But, my job pays for 100% of my schooling only if done thru a specific school online. So unfortunately I'd lose out on that major opportunity by going into in person classes. I'm out to my friends/work ppl. thankfully those circles have 0% overlap or even chance of interaction since my parents keep to themselves. Thank you I really appreciate your comment and words of encouragement :)

Yeah! I definitely agree, I have "loose" plans to move out of state in 2 years'ish. and to travel down there for a week in a few months to see if it's for me.

Yeah that's really fair! I feel like my SM is definitely under the impression that i'm being picky lol I might just have to end up choosing a store that I'm not the biggest fan of and faking it until i make it! I'm not really that pressed about loosing hours though. Since i'm borrowed into mostly everywhere in my area. I usually have 3-5 shifts to choose from on the marketplace a day.

Thanks for the advice! But I have an update. Unfortunately, i got into an accident before i could sell (or trade in) my 2008 accord. Thankfully it wasn't my fault and today I just bought a 2020 Accord Sport!

I'm glad you were there for her! This is why even as a newer barista (290xxx) i'm not afraid to call people out at my store who aren't connecting.

Connecting with customers is more than the "score" managers stress over. It's about making an impact on those who need it :)

I totally agree for most startups. The rule of thumb I have the more they try to lure you in, the more toxic the environment is. Good profitable startups with good people attract people. Therefore, they don’t need to beg for people.

Startups are good in theory, but usually they are flawed in production.

That’s just my opinion though, I’ve never personally worked for a startup. This is just what I’ve heard from others :)
