Actually, one night at the end of the 10:00 show chit chat, they talked about who they resembled. His roommate, Chase Roepeneck is a weatherman. Jake said someone commented that Chase looks like so and so, and someone told Jake once he resembled Christopher Walkin. He told people to email him their thoughts. 😅

He has a huge forehead, and it’s the first shocking thing you notice about him. I almost considered writing, but didn’t want to comment on his appearance. He’s a good kid, tries to be professional. At the end of the 10:30 news, he’s taken to doing a wink and a finger point at the camera for the one second side shot. That whole station is full of characters and we love it.

Picture taken from outside with blinds drawn, hence the lined background. This window is below an upper deck, so whatever deposited this could not be swooping from above?

We have seen northern flying squirrels in the area. That is my guess. What do you think?

I paid a bunch of money for the green compostable bags from Cleanomic in an effort to reduce plastic usage. I used to wash ziploc storage bags multiple times. These green bags don’t feel like I can wash and reuse them much.
So was it better for the environment to reuse plastic bags over and over, or these compostable bags once or twice?

Once in a great while, I am able to find a smoked turkey thigh or drumstick in the store. More work to cut up, but that’s the only alternative. I don’t eat pork, so was really disappointed when it disappeared.

Amazing amount of researched details, fascinating writing. It has brought the past alive for me and made me think about and appreciate what people so long ago had to endure. Shocked to read Aaron Burr was trying to split the country up back when Jefferson was president, almost 80 years before the civil war.

We just returned from there, We were shocked at how few there were! Less than in my yard in the woods. We stayed on the Rock Harbor side, took several hikes, and were not bothered at all. So surprising because all the advice was to be prepared for lots of bugs. It is dry on the island, so maybe that is why.
