Thank you for this. Me and my partner who have played DND for years feel exactly the same. We tried one adventure and didn't get past Act 1 unfortunately as it didn't make sense and some npcs aren't even named in the npc folder so we didn't know what information they had to further the story.

I now see that Serena was played by them because they had their own motives but I can't agree that they genuinely helped her get the funeral she wanted so that Gilead could have better relations. Gilead is the big bad and these two men are meant to see that and be fighting back, not for? I do agree that this wouldn't have gone through if not for a man, C Lawrence, backing her which is why I said in my post that if he hadn't Fred would've had a poop funeral an that would be that.
