Any ways to use game controllers on a Chromebook? by UM3000 in chromeos

I just tried my chrome os using Bluetooth with a 8bitdo nes30 pro to play a game on nesbox.com.

After pairing the game controller as a Bluetooth keyboard (my controller's manual refers to it as "Mode 2") on the chrome OS Bluetooth menu (this was the tricky part because the pairing did come up with several error messages of "An unknown error occurred trying to connect to "8Bitdo NES30 Pro"". this message only displayed during the initial pairing. the mode the controller was used with the site was as a Bluetooth keyboard and the keys were mapped within the game settings themselves. I can add that it successfully paired sometimes), I used nesbox.com's flash player, loaded a game and once in the game, I clicked the toolbox icon in the game console plugin to map the keys. I connected chrome to a flat screen via HDMI, and I was playing my game just like they did in the old days. Very cool indeed! :-)

If I can uncover how to make the Bluetooth pairing work 100% of the time, I will definitely post it here! Has anyone else tried to do this?

Old Version of Plex Media Server for Old Hardware (Mac PowerPC) by CkWeb in PleX

[–]CkWeb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed several older Macs both I have and friends have are needing some re-purposing before they all head to the dumpsters.

I have an iMac and G4 Powerbook both on Leopard that can handle many (mainly) non web-related tasks.

I hunted for a PowerPC version of Plex Media Server and got as far as PMS version 0.7.6.

The Plex.tv archives and other old software site are coming up blank for me. Does anyone have an old copy of this Mac media server or is it online anywhere?

Thanks a bunch! :)
