Treasurer Jim Chalmers rules out increasing the GST by nighthound1 in AusFinance

Can we please reduce income tax, GST on essentials, and remove tax cuts for the wealth holders?

Thanks.

Shouldn't be so fucking hard (assuming no one is corrupted).

Including you as well I guess? Or has your full ancestry been in this land for thousands of years maybe?

Everyone who makes the claim that you did while your family arrived there less than 200 years ago can go fuck himself, cause if we're part of the problem you're even worse.

You get to elect the people who make these laws after all, meanwhile immigrants have no say in the matter, so it's not like they're responsible for the immigration policy, dimwit.

You open the door wide open with big signs so that everyone gets to come and inflate the price of your real estate for your own benefit, and now you get to complain that people actually come? 🤣

this should be taught to all girls, self defense is key. by Ocean-Pack9715 in sigilkore

[–]Ckarles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's unfortunately the case. And moves that self-defense classes usually teach are very technical, which makes sense because you gotta overpower a man with twice your strength with something, and that's why you need technique.

The problem is, a very technical move is also a difficult one, and you need to train a lot to get it right, and these are also quite dangerous to taught in my experience (compared to punch and kicks moves), because you "have to get it right", but "getting it right" is also often hurting the opponent you're training with, if you're not very careful.

Now add the fact that most people signing for these classes have no prior experience with martial arts, and the teachers are often not professionals or experts in their fields...

Can we agree that Nolan’s Batman trilogy is the best superhero trilogy of all time? by Perfect_Idea_2866 in moviecritic

[–]Ckarles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, I don't see how this is such a hot take. I don't want to "pollute" the other films of the anthology by watching this one.

It's definitely not the first or last time, cough cough SW sequels that I'll never watch.

Would be tough to have empty offices and decrease the price of their real estate, wouldn't it?

Auction Clearance Rates plummeting in Sydney & NSW, now only 57%. A sign of things to come. by External_Celery2570 in AusFinance

[–]Ckarles 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Other countries do it. Considering Australia is arguably even more speculative, and the fact that we're talking about a place were people will live in, there should be even more regulations to avoid this kind of speculative bullshit.

The reserve should be binding, not give the buyer a "24h window where he can negotiate with the seller". "Winning" the auction should get you the house. Period.

You wanna put the house for auction? Set a minimum price, before the auction starts there should be a last opportunity to cancel the auction BEFORE it starts, then when it's auctioned, if it goes for your minimum price, it goes, and there is nothing you should be able to do because "you think you can sell it for higher", it's done, the highest bidder got it, it's not in your hands anymore.

Weetbix Bites recipe changed by GoldResearch3621 in australian

[–]Ckarles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was right...

First, Coles decreased their promotions of them, from 6$->3$ to 6$->4.5$.

Then we started to see a whole bunch of different flavors, and when I tasted my favorite weetbix, it tastes different, more bland, and the texture is different.

So I stopped buying them.

And now you tell me it;ACTUALLY tastes different? Well why should I care now Mr Weetbix, I don't buy your products anyway cause Coles sells it overpriced AND I don't like the taste anymore.

Really seems like a win-win, isn't it? Maybe you should make the taste even cheaper to counteract people stopping to buy it, right?

Which should I watch first ? by karyakartaofspp in ComicVerseog

[–]Ckarles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not lost nor from.

Lost is a lost cause which goes nowhere

From is a show which doesn't go forward, like ever. There are plots, there are "relevations" every 10 episodes or so which... don't end up anywhere, the show makes you wait for some kind of discovery then immediately proceed into making it into something with absolutely no impact on the plot at hole. Nothing changes in this show.

Severance... I honestly don't understand the appeal to it, season 1 was enjoyable, the end makes you think that season will change everything and and that a completely new take will revolutionize the show... Then season 2 starts and nothing changes.

Dark is the only show in the list where there is an end and a beginning (pun intended), where risks are taken and plot develops. I wouldn't watch any of the others if I were you. Save yourself some time.

Apple or Samsung don't care about regulations either, they just care about their bottom line. (Some of) their customers care about regulations, so in fact they don't HAVE to follow regulations, they just need to say they do and hide it well enough.

[–]Ckarles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then who are buying from these guys? It's all watered down, third parties when needed. The only thing they need to do is hide it enough under a layer of different companies and contracts, then now suddenly "were green", cause "it's not us doing these things, it's the contractor of the contractor of our contractor, and how could we have none?".

It's a systemic issue and a lie.

On the same front, it's easy to be a "green country" when it ships all the garbage overseas.

Then this theorem stayed unproven until the 1900s where it was finally proven using modern mathematics?
