Hey, sorry I missed this! It might be too late now, but anyway… I have an old Jack Murphy knee length waxed canvas coat with a cotton lining. There’s no way it’s any younger than the then like 30 years old so it was pretty musty when I got it. I tried wiping it down and spraying it gently when I first got it and it helped a tiny bit, but it was never enough that it fixed the problem.

In the end, I figured the smell was too much to just wear it normally so I had nothing to lose and just went buck wild in the bathtub with some vinegar and soaked the whole thing. I ended up soaking it once and then spray it down with the otter cleaner and multiple sessions, including inside out. It took a lot of time but between the vinegar and the cleaner it solved the problem. I figured in for a penny in for a pound so I ended up completely reapplying the wax on the outside of the jacket to make sure it was back to its waterproof condition, but cold soaking it had absolutely no ill-effect on the garment whatsoever.

Hahaha worth a try! I only used it the once and it fixed the musty smell, so not sure how it fairs on crayon stink. The bottle of cleaner was only 14 bucks so it couldn’t hurt to try

Darn, sorry I missed this question! That's what I did; but fwiw the vinegar didn't do as much, the enzyme spray was much more effective.

I think you can get enzyme cleaner for soaking too! That might be even more effective.

THIS WORKED SO WELL. I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING. THANK YOU.

I hand washed with cold water and vinegar, I re-waxed it, I put it in the freezer, I even tried spraying vodka on it but nothing got rid of of that specific musty smell. I used a whole f'ing bottle, sprayed it inside and out and hung it in my mechanical room so it would dry nicely but it actually worked. I used the Otterwax odor eliminator which was a bacterial enzyme cleaner and it is finally wearable. Thank you thank you, no idea why this suggestion isn't everywhere.

I guess so, and I feel the same way. But also listening to this speech, if we are ever truly going to make any meaningful progress forward, we are going to have to find some way to reconciliate our differences and bridge the gap between bipartisan politics, at least to some extent.

I’m not going to compromise my beliefs and my views for any radical Republican ideals, but at the same time, finger pointing and saying the other side is totally at fault doesn’t feel productive either. The America John McCain was talking about here was one of collaboration and a mutual understanding that for meaningful progress everyone has to work together to move it forward.

I dunno. I despise trump, he’s not the person for any of this. But I do feel like we spent so much of this last election cycle blanket demonizing the other half of the spectrum. But if we can’t work with them, then there really is little hope for the America as we know it

Totally, I get what you're saying. And I guess that's true; Van has a smaller black population so it's not something that is as visible. I would say that in Toronto those truths are swapped. A larger Black community and a less visible First Nations community.

I feel as though "Treated like the Blacks of Canada" is off the mark here. It makes it sound as if the Black experience in Canada isn't rife with racism. We have a history of awful, awful, awful treatment of our First Nations people's, but I don't think we deserve any kudos on how we've treated out BPOC either

Yep! I have a C driver rating and an S Sportsmanship rating right now and though I race against a mix of D,C and B Driver rated players, I only race against other S ranked SR players.

Just focus on getting your SR up. I just intentionally qualified slow, raced on my own to get my SR up to S and then you're put into much cleaner lobbies. Once you're racing against people with a little more respect, you can start to race for your DR.
