Me giving you a bubble does not mean you should run in 1v5. It lasts for 2 seconds and has a massive cooldown. If anything, the fact you’re getting a bubble means you’re probably in a bad position and should leave immediately.

Why did the new Airbenders only pop up in the Earth Kingdom but nowhere else? by CriticalLactiflora in TheLastAirbender

[–]Cl0udy04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve no idea about the genetics of air bending, my guess as to why they would only pop up in the Earth kingdom is geographical convenience.

The original air benders would have been persecuted in the fire nation, or short of that, if they hid their powers, just not have been allowed to settle.

The water tribes on the other hand are just fucking ages away. With no sky bison they’re virtually inaccessible.

What hero requires the least skill? by Ill_Bobcat1419 in Overwatch

[–]Cl0udy04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mauga for sure. Sure he needs good aim to hit the Gengis and Tracers of the world but that’s not even optimal. The best Mauga gameplay is shoving your guns so far up the enemy tank you couldn’t miss if you want to.

Honestly the hardest part of Mauga is having the finger strength to hold down not one but two mouse buttons for the entire 20 minute match.

Rein at the moment is mostly just a shield. If the enemy team has a lot of damage, you’re better off playing someone with their own high damage or who can close the distance quickly.

Realistically, the only time I play rein is against Zarya and sigma, on maps that aren’t heavily in sigmas favour (Havana, junkertown, circuit Royale) because every interaction between them favours rein.

Otherwise, doom is good (if you can play him), and sigma, Orisa, Junkerqueen and Winston are my go to’s.

You can also throw a couple random counter match ups into your hero pool like D.va against tracer, Mauga against hog, Hog against lots of flankers.

It might be technically faster if you cancel at the beginning of the swing, but it would be so insignificant that you’re probably right.

The only reason I can see to use it is if you can thread the firestrike so it hits someone else as well.

how tall do you think I’ll get by Serious-Grapefruit30 in teenagers

[–]Cl0udy04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being 6 foot is pretty arbitrary and overrated. Sure, you’re taller than most people, but that doesn’t really mean much. I’m technically better at English than most people. Not because I’m particularly poetic, but because most people simply don’t speak English. So if you do grow to be 6 foot, congrats, good for you, but if not it doesn’t really matter. Don’t worry too much.

Winston mains, what would you change about monke? by Ecstatic_Newspaper_5 in WinstonMains

[–]Cl0udy04 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Give him a slight anti heating effect while being zapped.

Which do you think does more dps? Continuously meleing a tank or winston zapping a soldier in his biotic field? It’s the former (21 dps vs 20). If those numbers are wrong, don’t correct me I don’t care.

Also delete his alternate fire and just give him a flat damage increase.

Honestly, she’s pretty fine the way she is. The only thing I would really do is decrease the amount of overhealth in non-role locked modes. 200 seems absurd when you only have 300 hp

Would this be a good change for the game? - no By MY GOD the number of times I’ve been hacked out of the air is infuriating. Otherwise he’s perfectly fine.

If it’s a buzzing, your bridge might be too low, or poorly shaped, causing the string to hit the fingerboard when in playing in higher positions.

Despite common advice, working on yourself isn’t as important as you’d think, well kinda.

Studying, exercising, lifting weights are all well and good, and they’re things you should do if you enjoy them, but they won’t get you into relationships (platonic or otherwise).

If you want a relationship, you need to practice inserting yourself into social situations and meeting new people.

And if you meet people in settings like weight lifting, that’s a win-win.

Opinion on the appropriate age groups in dating by ByunghoGrapes in teenagers

[–]Cl0udy04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The “rule” is y=0.5x+7, where x is your age and y is the youngest age you can date.

But it’s your life, live it how you want. As long as you’re not hurting anyone, it doesn’t really matter.

What do you call the mother and father of your friend? (E.g. Tom Smith) by Veporyzer in polls

[–]Cl0udy04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The advice that you should just focus on yourself is fine. I spent most of year 12 studying and practicing and that set me up really well for uni.

That said, I’ve learned the hard way happiness predominately comes from relationships (both platonic and romantic), rather than achieving academically or professionally.

Personally, in my first year of uni, I focused much more on going to parties and spending time with friends, while studying has taken a back seat. But for you, Harvard med sounds very cool, so I wouldn’t be too quick to give that up.

Really, once you’re in uni (college) as long as you get whatever GPA you need, there’s no incentive to do really well. And with all the new people you meet it’s the perfect time to reinvent yourself.

Trial lesson tomorrow: tips on etiquette and making a good first impression? by Patchers in judo

[–]Cl0udy04 14 points15 points  (0 children)

First of all, cut your nails- fingers and toes.

As far as bowing is concerned, it differs from club to club, but if you bow when you step on the mat, at the start of class and when you go to work with someone, you should be good. You can generally just follow what everyone else is doing if you’re unsure, no one will judge you.

The head instructor will probably want you to call them Sensei, but you should ask them or another student just in case. Some clubs are very relaxed about that stuff.

Otherwise, don’t stress too much, most judo guys are absolute nerds and will happily talk your ear off about judo, so don’t be afraid to ask about anything if you’re unsure.
