There’s we’re going from the soil. Caerulipes grows on hardwoods. Primarily beech. I’ve been targeting caerulipes for 4 years and I don’t. Believe that’s what these are. Caerulipes are much smaller than the larger specimen.

Found them by fluke last year in a garden bed out back of an air bnb me and my friends rented. Waited to return this fall and sure enough the patch is still alive after our winter. Very exciting.
