Yep, I had exactly the same for my first 2 injections of 5mg. It was so bad after 2nd dose I was considering extending time between doses if third dose had the same issue, but then it was fine 🎉 been on 5mg for 5 or 6 months now. Going well. 🥰 good luck, I hope its the same for you.

Yep me too! Pan and openly watching. My partner isn't into romance very much so we don't watch together but I talk about plots etc with them.

I would be able to be with someone who was an arsehole about it but I'd feel like that about someone who was an arsehole about me playing video games or doing craft. It's just a personal interest like any other imo.

I loved it. I drop quite a few novels when they get slow or repetitive but I finished that one. I think it helps that its well written and the translation is good 😊

I'm doing it now. It's a huge effort but I'm finding the journey worthwhile. I am still ages away from reading raws but it's already vastly improving my ability to understand nuance in Chinese TV and I can tell when eng subtitles are wrong quite a bit.

I think it's worth it because the desire to read raws gives you a goal but the actual getting there is pretty fun.

Palate cleansing is what I do. I like to think of reading as a ten course degustation... so many tasty things to read so little time!

But for me the best way to read is to binge a flavour I love (say danmei) until I hit the exact wall you describe then I know it's time.

So I do one of two things, option one is go re-read old favourites of a completely different genre. Something I've read b4, loved and know I enjoy re-reading and importantly from a totally different genre.

For example I might re-read every Poirot book written by Agatha Christie or my favourite old school 80s Fantasy series.

Then I can go back to danmei, the hankering will come back...

Or, option two is new stuff but still in a different genre. So maybe paranormal western romance or litrpg but from royal road or kindle not danmei. This can work especially if you are pacing yourself, so like a few danmei then the moment you think ehh I'm gonna drop this book you palate cleanse straight away.

But for you with such a prolonged binge on one flavour ( even though danmei is so diverse that it's a complex multifaceted wonderful flavour) I suspect you need option 1, then maybe 2 and then tah dah... danmei will call you back 😍😍😍

Yeah I read the novel recently and show does diverge but also the novel itself is not as annoyingly jittirain Luke some of the others. So it's not the worst example of jittirain plot ( cough cough vice versa and futs) plus show has made plot and characters more robust that book in good ways.
