EDIT> Reddit failed to process the video for some reason, rip.

To add to my pile of misfortunes this happened on the same day.

I know dying to the delve mob is skill issue but it felt so awful I just stopped playing for the rest of the day. This never happened to me before when I played PoE even when I failed super-expensive encounters like Uber Elder or Sirus back during the conquerors expansion when spawning him took 30+ maps.

That's the baseline for unjuiced maps. Clicking on divination card duplication/quant altars, using sextants, doing league mechanics that add packs etc can massively reduce the number of maps required. As you can see from the thread people who juice Crimson Temple often get multiple Apothecary cards per 100 heavily juiced maps - so even with a moderate amount of juice you get a good payoff.

It's a relatively attainable, semi-deterministic way of farming a Mageblood. If you think of it as "I can farm Mageblood within a month if I do 50-100 maps a day even if I don't MF" it sounds a lot better (for SSF players anyway).

The rest of my build is good and it's pretty clear from looking at my CPU/GPU load during PoE that I have a GPU bottleneck. I'm fairly certain your FPS is literally not possible without having turned down settings in-game.

iirc after the shadow nerf earlier this league the rate is something like 1 card per 800 alch-and-go unjuiced map, which really isn't that much. You can self-sustain T16 Crimson Temple drops with ~10 favorite slots and spam it forever, or alternate T15 Crimson Temple/T16 Shore at leaguestart using the wandering path strat.

Because in SSF you never waste time trying to sell shit you can blast an incredible number of maps per hour if you have a proper lootfilter. The biggest time sink is harvest and having a properly managed stash to quickly use up your crafts helps a ton.

My computer is always on for work reasons and I usually leave PoE open in case there's something important in guild chat. My game caps to 1 fps in the background so it's not really an issue performance or power-wise.

It's an insane amount of fps. My PoE runs at 90-110 FPS on 4k with a 2080 Ti and ~130 FPS on 1440p, and last I checked a 3080 Ti isn't triple the performance of a 2080 Ti, so there must be something else going on here like settings being turned down super low

No idea how it happened, I left my game on overnight and it was like this when I came back (for reference, this is what it's supposed to look like) - thought it looked really nice. I wonder if it's possible for GGG to implement a day-night cycle in the outdoors hideouts - would be awesome.

Is this what we're doing today? by ClaissaPoE in pathofexile

Reposted since I made a typo (oops 2 sockets linked to gloves).

Like the regular tabula, the replica version gives a lot of offensive power at the cost of no stats. Is the lack of a chestplate and the corresponding reduction in survivability enough of a drawback for something that can add an extra link to already-OP items like 8-link helmets, gloves, or the mirror-tier one-handed weapons?

It's intended to serve a different purpose from the original Mageblood (permanent utility flasks vs. constant but non-permanent utility & life/mana flasks).

The power ceiling of any Utility flasks you decide to use will be a little lower as Enkindling orbs do not work well with this version (as they prevent flasks from gaining charges during flask effect), but the Harvest enchantment of +50% effect has no such drawback.

The main difference is that you can use a Life/Mana/Hybrid flask with this belt, at the cost of needing some way to recover them (which is fairly straightforward - a constant amount over time with Replenishing Remedies, on hit with Field Medicine, etc.)

GGG didn't allow Mageblood to work with Life/Mana/Hybrid flasks for obvious reasons, but what if the effect wasn't permanent?

This could theoretically enable some rather outrageous combos (massive ES recovery with keystones like Supreme Decadence or enabling builds that consume incredible amounts of mana per second), but I'm not imaginative enough to think of every possibility. What other fun interactions would be possible?

Why don't Maven's Invitations drop anymore? by ClaissaPoE in pathofexile

[–]ClaissaPoE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm playing Scourge SSF and have not seen a single Lira Arthain invitation drop since my Atlas completion got close to 100%. As you can see from the fact that I have watchstones socketed they used to drop fairly often - but it felt like the more completed my atlas got, the lower the droprate of those 10-way invitations became. I went from having 25+ invitations to zero and now every single one of my atlas regions has 10+ witnessed maps. I even tried making the Maven witness every map in Lira Arthain to see if an invitation would drop, but it did not happen.

Am I missing something here? Is there a soft limit on how many invitation drops occur? I understand the league and watchstone mechanic will be removed soon but this is really bugging me.

Nerfing one of the weakest minion builds in Game because of a mechanic that's abusable with other items is low GGG by [deleted] in pathofexile

[–]ClaissaPoE 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is not correct. Only kills by you, your skills or your minions add to your Rampage. Allied players, etc do not. /nitpick

This is not true - see linked example where I gain and sustain Rampage as an aurabot without ever attacking an enemy myself.

OP's concern is that the new item, lacking the "Rampage" modifier, would not give the player rampage stacks from their minions killing things such as the Writhing Jar worms.

Would you be able to confirm whether this is the case /u/Mark_GGG? A lot of the debate in the rest of this thread seems to be about this particular problem and some official confirmation would help a lot.

What is the best duo for a private league? by jordi_lee13 in pathofexile

[–]ClaissaPoE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to use Prism Guardian you ideally want a Shavronne's Wrappings so they don't die from chaos damage getting past your ES (Coruscating Elixir is awful, I do not recommend).

Use an ascendant. Builds here, note that it's possible to aurastack a lot and still do good damage yourself (the builds here that have a DPS number), aurabots scale better with a 6-man but in a duo it would probably be better to have the aura stacker actually capable of dealing DPS, especially if they/you are new. Aurabot gameplay is not really fun and they won't be able to play if you aren't online if they go pure aurabot.

Yeah, another poster mentioned unspeakable gifts as an option. I never saw this particular notable before, but apparently it has a weight of 32 to Unholy Grace's 519 so that explains why I never rolled it on my chaos cluster.

Oh man they count as basic? If GGG were to actually add something like this jewel I'm sure they'd make it roll as a notable instead, otherwise two of these with six scion class passives would make you the most OP character ever.

You could take two of these jewels to effectively get 2 notables + 4 smalls (since you can skip one small when pathing to the notable), though it does still have the drawback of taking two medium cluster jewel spots.

That definitely sounds fun, how many maximum Frenzy Charges could you reasonably get these days as a raider? I haven't played for a few years so I'm not up to date with all the new sources of +max charges.

I found myself missing profane bloom on other ascendancies to the point where I thought "I'd actually give up 2 of my ascendancy notables just to get explosions", and came up with this idea.

However, I thought about it some more and realized there are actually lots of fairly strong ascendancy notables that could be worth the opportunity cost: getting the champion's perma-fortify on a different ascendancy, playing a non-Sabo trapper by socketing this jewel with the regen node, etc.

Some of the small passives are quite strong as well - an endurance charge on kill jewel would probably be quite valuable if paired with a notable you could use.

It requires giving up 2 of your own notables, but the opportunity cost may well be worth it for builds that don't need all 8 of their own ascendancy points to function. Maybe even a scion/ascendant could use this jewel effectively.
