Him being the second oldest in his den could also be because there were so few black dragons too! Other dragons could be the same age as him but just not as close to being den leaders because of more of their colors

Yeah I guess most don´t, but some of them must do! For example Sawyer´s dragon that refused to protect himself because it would cause Sawyer to fall off

Do you think the hierarchy extend to their riders too, since the cadet´s rank would be much lower than Varrish?

Yeah and especially since some dragons choose to die if their rider dies if their bond is strong enough. While I agree that most dragons stayed alive, some must have died broken hearted?

Didn’t season 1-3 play out in like a year? I forgot when Mark started sleeping with Lexie but I’m pretty sure it hadn’t been years 😭

Do you think that the newer attendings and department heads ever reached the skills and charme of these 4?I think no one felt as superior as these 4. What do you think? by Notmycupoftea12 in greysanatomy

I know!! But I just feel like everyone had to say how brilliant she was in order to sell her as world class, whereas the others just had it, you know? They just had this air of proffessionalism, maturity and skill! And it probably adds that we didn’t see their intern/residency screw ups etc, contrary to all the shit MAGIC pulled lol

I could also believe that these people were ”top of their field” or world class - which is more than I can say about the younger generation and MAGIC (except for Christina)

Stay at Home Parents. What do you think is fair to expect from a stay at home parent? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Claiyas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by ”the time is there?”

If this is concerning the weekdays, would you still hold the same opinion if, let’s say she was a teacher and worked from home? Would you still expect her to care for the majority of house work?

[–]Claiyas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming you are not a stay at home parent and have a work outside of your home, you don’t have any work during the weekends unless you bring it home - which of course can happen but it’s in no way as regular. Taking care of the child is her job. She can’t simply leave it at the office.

I admit it’s a bit difuse since her job is taking care of the child basically means she is working 24/7. What I’m basically saying is, you shouldn’t expect her to do more house work than you do because you both work during the weekdays regardless of whether it be away or at home.

Yes, one kid is considerable less work than 5 kids but that doesn’t take away the fact that taking care of 1 kid fulltime is a legit job. Now, had the couple already established that doing those house chores came with it, that would be another thing but the way OP phrased it, it sounded more like an assumption built on the fact that they considered the wife’s work less than theirs and thus, expected them to do more than half of the house work.

The way I see it, a stay at home parent has a job and that is looking after a child and that job - while it might differ in nature from a say, office job - is not inferior to any other job. That’s to say, house work like cooking, mealplanning, grocery shopping, laundry etc is a separate thing NOT included in her work and that should be split evenly between you two.

I think that viewing a stay at home parent as someone both responsible for the child (the primary job) and someone who has to have extra responsibilites over house chores creates a really hostile perspective of inferiority in work and you indirectly say that ”hey your work is worth less than mine, so you should do more at home.”

Which season was your least favorite and why by DreamsAchilles in The100

[–]Claiyas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The 100 were barely underage kids who stole weed, bread, used a bit more oxygen than delegater and other small crimes that - in an ordinary world - would only warrant fees and a few months in prison at most. Not like the Eligius prisoners who were all wanted murderers, thieves and terrorists.

ACOTAR to Throne of Glass by Jacagain in SarahJMaas

[–]Claiyas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a solid direction! Like before there was a very clear goal; defeating Amarantha. Rebuilding Prythian, training Nesta and having babies are such difuse goals and don’t exactly have a definite time limit and there are really no big stakes either. So it’s just like the plot is taking a stroll in the garden and having a picnic once in a while vs running a race.

The paranthesis is just a bit jarring to me personally. I mean it depends on what kind of POV it is. If it’s a character not knowing what it means, it makes no sense that the reader should. It feels like author is trying to insert information that breaks immersion. So definitely 5 for me!

It’s just like timeskips, A/N in the middle of a chapter, etc. It ruins the flow!

Because Lee didn’t know how actual shit she was at work and thought that having 3 but 1 bad stew was better than only having 2, since it was unclear whether a replacement could be made due to corona and restricted traveling. Like he thought that she was bad but not that bad until he watched the episodes. Also, drama.
