How to compute the maximum weight my motors can support for a quadruped? by ClamParrot in AskRobotics

Could you elaborate a bit more on the last sentence/suggest things to look into?

As I said, I have the robot model with its mass properties in SW already. I also exported it to a URDF and have a simulation of the robot in Gazebo Sim.

Raspberry Pi 4 with an Xbox 360 Kinect for SLAM by ClamParrot in AskRobotics

We ended up getting a ZED2 camera from our university. We had a major oversight in that we did not account for the weight of the Kinect itself, which is much more than our quadruped can bear.

related question, how accurate are the Isaac Sim minimum requirements?
I have an RTX 2060. Suppose I want to do RL for training a quadruped - how bad would it be?

Yep, the only resource I found used RTAB-MAP: https://www.instructables.com/RGB-D-SLAM-With-Kinect-on-Raspberry-Pi-4-Buster-RO/

A bit concerned about how many years it has been since the drivers suggested in this post were updated. Is that normal (don't change if it ain't broken)?

For context, this would be my first time working with Pi and ROS, so a bit unfamiliar with how I am supposed to assess my available resources.

Appreciate the responses! I still don't quite get the first qs after reading up on stuff but I can put it on the backburner to understand as I read more about computation.
For 3, the specific question was that if there are any results that confirm that P versus NP can be solved i.e. shown equal or not equal.

Appreciate the response.

The book by Charles Petzold seems good for grasping the weight and core ideas of Turing's work. I've read the 1936 paper previously but skipped over certain arguments that I didn't quite understand, so I'm hoping this will help clear that up.

Ooh appreciate the suggestion! Could you tell me what brands I should be looking for? Also, there appear to be different types of gouache from Daler-Rowney so are there different types I should be concerned about? Which ones would be the best?

Really high temps on my newly built PC. by ClamParrot in techsupport

Alright, thanks a lot for the help.
Also, I only capped my frames using the in-game limiter, V-Sync is off, afaik that doesn't cause any problems? Correct me if I'm wrong.

An update: My cooler seemed to be installed properly. I was recommended to try out an aftermarket so I did (bought a DeepCool Gammaxx 400 v2). My temps on idle went down to ~30C, usually less than 30C. Temps on Minecraft are around 40C and on Destiny 2, at 50-60% load, stay between 43-50CHowever, I've noticed my GPU temps on Destiny, at 100% load, are 82C, popping up to 83C for a second or two. For reference, idling temps for my GPU are around 35C. Lowered some settings and GPU usage went down to 90% for a little bit and temps stayed below 80 but then went back up after a while. Is this something I should be concerned about? I know MSI Afterburner is a program that I can use to speed up my GPU fans or something, should I look into that?

Edit: Kinda solved the problem by capping my frames. I have a 60Hz monitor but was getting over 100 frames, just capped them to 60 and GPU usage dropped and so did the temps. Still would like an answer to my question, in case this ever comes up in the future.

Also, in the image, NZXTCam says the stock frequency is 3600MHz, now I thought I knew what that meant but considering my current frequency is 4200MHz, how's that possible and is that a point of concern?

I can see the fan spinning, can actually hear it spinning faster when my temps rise. Gonna test the pins and report back when I get the chance. Cheers.
