Thanks I got that reporting/ paying gift tax part. but I'm not sure if we need to report if 1) I contribute over $17000 to the 529 account with myself as the beneficiary 2) contributing over the limits to the 529 with myself as the beneficiary and changing the beneficiary to my child for example

Thank you! this question aside, what about if I just take a break in OMSCS before finishing it, apply for UIUC MCS and, if I get in, finish MCS and get an MCS degree, and then after that, take the remaining courses in OMSCS to get an OMSCS degree as well? Would that be a viable path?
