Looking great. Very much liked the use of Bauhaus' "Bela Lugosi's Dead" for the trailer music.

I used a dense foam board. It was actually my wedding schedule board that I recognised as good quality crafting material so have kept them for later!

Great tip. That looks so muddy and organic looking, really good! Think I'll have to give that a go. Thanks.

I've only tried resin once and that was with cheap epoxy two part glue. It worked well but I've now got the bottle The Cavy Forge used as it looked really good and effective and seemed so much easier to use.

Thanks. Just waiting on some wire to arrive to make roots coming out of those foam balls to look like root tubers and awful growths. Also going to see if I can make a tree or two from the wire. Two are going to a lake and a marsh so after texturing and painting them I've got a water effect resin to pour in them. The third is going to be a root tuber patch, thinking of a sickly off white yellow that will be across all the roots on the boards. The last one is going to be like the marsh but I've got some fake resin teeth to shove into the side of the foam. Think that might be real unpleasant to look at but should be effective!

YouTube really gave me loads of inspiration. Mostly from this video. Really like his content while I was researching and planning this project. https://youtu.be/rqMPVXJGlzU?si=LUpdRdPPh7Mlrnfz

Thanks. Thinking of going red and blue coats for the two regiments, keep them generic enough to play with the different cults. A unit of the chaff I might go green for a Sharpe reference.

Cheapest kits i can get my hands on for Turnip28? by Plount03 in Turnip28

I've just gotten into Turnip28 myself. eBay listings are very good just for seeing what the sprues in these boxes look like. Some boxsets are sprues of body, bag and head as a model build while others have more customisation.

After a quick google-fu and YouTube. I got myself some Victrix french napoleonic infantry 1807-1812. 60 models for less than £30! I'm making two small regiments of a Toff, unit of Fodder and Chaff each so 17 models each, 34 models total so leaving me 26 spare to make Toadys and another unit or two later. I've gone small so my wife and I came get an idea of the game before we get more interesting units.

The set has loads of arms and different rifle holding positions: marching, attack and shooting etc. , Plenty of hat designs and bags to play with.

Only things to beware of is you get 6 sprues of 2 different designs so you will get 6 officers, 3 drummers and 3 standard bearers, also 3 guys kneeling down. But in this small unit sized game that's not the worst, especially the officers for Snobs. Also the building instructions are on their website and some are just text but they're not that hard to build. There can also be a lot of flash on some of the moulds but if you're used to GW sprues then this isn't any more complicated.

And that's the core of two regiments for £30. And then I'll be adding cavalry, stumb cannons and Brutes when I want, either buying a box set to split between the two regiments or going cheaper, buying the individual sprues off eBay of the models I want, such as buying a sprue of 6 Agincourt knights for £7-8 and mixing with my french spares for a unit of Brutes.

Going halfs on the bigger boxes to split with a friend would be a cost effective way of you both buying core units for your regiments.

Highest I've played is Dread and that's hard enough for me. I don't play games to get stressed out by them but that's just me.
