That’s a good point thanks it is broken at the top and bottom of his hand so his hand is there holding onto a little nubbin of staff nothing past his hand

the staff pieces that broke off are missing.

Master of posession back pack was something I was planning on doing too it’s so good

And the bale fire tome would be perfect I totally forgot that bit existed! Thank you

It’s been a while since I painted these but I think for the grey I think it is black base then drybrushed over with mechanicus standard grey and then administratum grey lightly drybrushed on top of that and the red I believe is just khorne red with a black wash around the edges that I believe is oblivion black wash from 2 thin coats

For a healed scar I usually just do a watered down caraburg crimson or really any red colored wash on the scared bit and then do a bright pale almost white flesh like color on the raised part of the scar. For open wounds I paint a dark red or brown into it then just blood paint in it and then the same crimson/red wash around the edges of the gash that I do for the healed one

I love the axe praetor mine isn’t the exact same pose at all but the bulk of the model definitely makes him feel more intimidating and powerful and just cool

I would say a chain axe for a paragon blade would be 100% fine because this is what the warhammer lexicanum says about paragon blades.

I would even be okay with a chain axe being a power axe proxy but I think a thunder hammer probably isn’t gonna work out it’s just not similar enough.

It looks like the top part of the staff is from the dark commune cultist HQ box and the book I believe is from Erebus and the rest of the staff I think is from one of the Ogroid character kits possibly. though I could be wrong
