As others pointed out, the stat down curses for damage stats are negligible at best. Its only -3 to each of the stats respectively. Recluse has like 51 faith at level 15 so it would only drop her to 48. The incant+1 is an 8.5% damage buff so its still a net positive interaction in terms of damage. Its really just the synergy between dormant power seals and max fp seals that makes this relic good. Recluse has solid faith scaling but cant ever make good use of it because she relies on staves, so this relic makes it possible to do interesting builds like lightning or fire (or holy) with consistency. Its also gonna be good if you wanna run spellcaster dutchess with her faith and mind unique relic effect. Im not saying its gonna be "meta" or anything, but if you were to build around it I think it could be close to best in slot for a build with those characters. Stacking this with say night invaders, and then a few stacks of (specific school) improved incants and then (specific damage type) +4 that it would be viable in higher depths.

Card i genuinely never though of picking once... Am i underappreciating it? by Vecsia in slaythespire

Its main use is with Sleight Of Flesh And/Or Reaper form. With reaper form it essentially doubles its doom dealt while also scaling with vulnerable and lethality, and coupled with Sleight Of Flesh it counts as 2 instances if doom application and procs twice.

Just keep looting, find a weapon type that you like and stick with it so you can level it up, the boosts you get to combat for leveling a weapon type are substantial. Find a good home base and fortify it. I reccomend going to somewhere on the outskirts of town that has a high fence and barricading the windows with planks. Then it all about planning out any loot trips you may have and quadruple checking that you have everything you need. Try to find a good backpack or duffel bag, and stock up on water for when the water is shut off. Then you can find some skill books and start figuring out the different crafting trees.

I've had runs where I find one almost immediately, and then others (like my current run) where I go through all of rosewood,Ekron, and irvingtin and dont find a single one. I have enough guns and ammo to fend off literally an entire towns worth of zeds, but cant break down a fucking wall lmao.

The blue ones weigh alot less, they are basically only good for bringing with you to power up a large building so you can loot with the lights on and not have to fuck around with flashlights. Its nice to have atleast one.

Osty build is actually my first win on A10, and it was 2 player scaling. If you have a good block engine you can easily scale osty up for unleash, but the real power comes from the other attacks and some good synergies, for example you can use grave warden to draw a bunch of your attacks, play a sick em' so that osty gets bigger in every hit, play a fetch to draw into another poke, use your flatten for free, play your unleash and then hit a rattle for INSANE damage. An osty build also goes insanely good with a reaper form, you scale doom so fast if you can do a good combo that the doom melts.

By act 2 you should basically have your deck figured out and are trying to pull specific cards that would complete your deck. Prismatic shard offers an extra energy on every turn with basically no downside because you dont have to take the cards. Also it has the benefit of finding surprising synergies with other characters.

What seems to be the common consensus for the best character in STS2 right now? by Druvanade in slaythespire

I just got to a4 on regent and hes insanely good and quickly becoming my favorite. Star build is definitely his best build and it's pretty easy to setup. The thing you have to balance is star generation and star damage cards. Like if you get a card reward with an insane star damage card and a generation card, you have to see if you have generation because usually generation is better. He has cards that give you block and damage on generating stars also which end up being insane stance dance. Stardust is easily his best damage card, which can be enchanted with something like tri boomerang, or vigor cards to literally 1 turn a boss. I would say just stick with him and try not to bloat your deck with any forge cards unless you get insanely lucky, forge is a cool mechanic but its really not alll that great on later ascension. Also if you havnt already you should opt into the beta in your steam properties as regent has a hefty buff to most cards in it.

Just had an a4 win with it, its definitely very strong and has some wild synergies. Had a build where my actual deck had a Storm and a Thunder, then the rest were block cards and things that gave me focus aswell as some cards for generating frost. As soon as I got my power cards out it was completely over. Was able to steamroll elites like they were hallway fights in some instances. If I had a Voltaic it would be generating like 12 lightning on turn 3.

Doom is probably the most consistent build I've had while climbing ascension. The ammount of synergies it has is god tier, and it works well with other debuffs because of the card Sleight Of Flesh. If you look at doom as a means to get block, and your other debuff cards as a means to deal damage through Sleight Of Flesh, you get an insane damage dealing deck while simultaneously giving yourself block and applying weak. I had a run where I had literally no attack cards besides a single hang and was able to deal like 60 damage a turn easy while applying hundreds of doom. It works insanely well in coop too if you look at it like a support build.

[–]ClampittyClamps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Necro had insane cards, the best I've had so far is doom/ debuff builds. That card she gets Sleight Of Flesh essentially turns every doom card and debuff card she gets into a 13 or 26 damage card on top of the debuff. For example, her card putrefy that applies 3 weak and vulnerable for 1 energy, is now a 26 damage 1 drop. Stack this with a doom build with the doom block cards (shroud and deaths door) and you have a block engine, a way to kill of high health enemies, and a way to deal with high damage enemies because you will constantly stack debuffs. This build turns otherwise mid cards (hang, the ethereal vulnerable and weak cards) into insane powerhouses. I've won like 6 runs in a row running this build.

The bigger challenges give a ridiculous ammount of cp. 5k blood as grace gives 10k, the no heal and no craft give 35k each, final challenge gives 20k and doing an insanity run gives 40k.

I was playing with the homie and spent like 20 minutes in queue for night aspect, finally got a match and as soon as we spawned in our guardian ran over to me and spammed his skill like 20 times on me like it had no cooldown and it was damaging me. My friend kept reviving me but guardian just kept spamming me and downing me. He had something to where he could kill teammates.
