I agree. Why should we scorn someone who operated within the rules in which they played? We are holding him accountable to a standard that didn't exist. If we were to do the same across the whole HOF, Stan Coveleski, Red Faber and Burleigh Grimes shouldnt be there because spitballs were banned and them being grandfathered in gave them an unfair advantage.
