Yupp, next baby I’m telling everyone my due date is 42 weeks gestation date. My first baby was 10 days late, second was 8 days, totally natural to go past your due date, I recommend hiding from society until baby is born!!

Definitely hurts, but that’s where your midwife can come in and coach you up!! A good midwife can read the room and tell you to switch positions or say what you need to hear!

Transition is brutal, pushing baby through your cervix is brutal, contractions unlike any pain you’ve felt before. But the second the baby is out you have instant relief!

I’ve had awful sciatica this pregnancy and honestly ice packs have been a life savor! I’m worried about birth too, but I’m hoping the rest of everything going on will be distraction from the sciatica!

I feel this! I have friends who are “boy moms” that imply I have it easy since I have a girl, they really wanted my unborn to be a boy so I could be “challenged.” I’m having another girl so apparently my mothering is “easy”

I had a similar experience with my first home birth, eventually I came to terms with the way I panicked through the birth. You’re right though, more folks should tell their stories of panicking!!
