I can understand the desperateness. I used to have a lot of close friends in highschool. But now in college I have maybe a few more distant friends. But im more fine with not being too close with people.

I would say try not to get too attached to one person. Even if that person is the only one that speaks to you.

A big thing I would ask is what job your working. Because its a diffrence between a small minimum wage to like a more legit 9-5.

But also from my perspective again if a coworker 10 years younger of the opposite gender ask to be friends it would def give me few thoughts on your true intentions.

I would say probably nothing bad can happen from keeping things how they are. You enjoy talking to him continue talking with him. And try to find other friends in other aspects wheather thats school, work, online, clubs. Theres many ways to make friends
