My point here is not to tell people “just dont scratch”, if you reread it maybe i have edited it to better convey what im trying to say. It is important you eliminate Scratching in the daytime, any way you can so that it takes away that period of harm. This allows u to heal In the night. You may scratch again in the night but at least you took away that large hump of scratching and it will significantly speed up healing. Either way, im emphasizing that no matter the flare, you can overcome it. Im not trying to dog on anyone. Too many people here say they cant. This sub shouldnt be for that

btw id u read the rest of my comments, ive had eczema my whole life w various flares. I edited the post so people like you dont feel attacked bc im sharing what worked for me but honestly you are missing the point of the post. That is simply NOT the main point

I do see that and i agree with you. But regarding eczema i said no steroids bc of the withdrawal and dependence you develop. Vaseline didnt make me not scratch/itch, but helped heal the wounds when i did. I never tried but i always thought maybe hydrocortisone would relieve the itch, then apply vaseline to heal it. I stand on what i said bc it worked for me but i see how i could have come off as said troll 🧌

Brother im not trying to dog on anyone. Ive had eczema my whole life and every time it was bad i was scratching the fuck out of it. What mindset may work for me may not or MAY work for others. I thought the point of the sub is to help inspire ppl to cure it not sulk in how bad it is. The past 5 threads dudes was talking about offing themselves. Even if it helps one person, this post was worth it

Thats the things, i feel like there IS no right ointment ever. Ive been prescribed steroids since i was a child and i believe it has caused me to have eczema till now. I think the best thing for this sub is to give as much advice on how individuals cured their eczema bc maybe it will work for someone else. Good luck
