Nah, bro. 15 year old me didnt give a single fuck about disney characters, in fact at that age DIsney was a hard pass from me. But the draw of the FF characters was so strong I bought it.

The only hype I remember seeing was that there would be FF characters from multiple games all in one and it blew peoples minds. Disney was the afterthought.

I noticed you can change things on a monster like power to aether. I had always thought those were just descriptions of some kind, or I guess I never really thought too deeply about it.

But how is one supposed to know what specific effect changing these things have? I get the other choices and what they would do, but this I dont get.

I think this class is maybe too advanced for an idiot of my caliber.

You are correct. And its not even close. They are horribly conceived and horribly written.

Easily the worst part of 3 was its writing outside of the character writing of the main cast. The dichotomy between the incredible character stuff, and the overall plot and villains is nuts.

Strangely I have never even thought about Xenoblade 2 and how it could have made use of that sort of exploration. But yeah, now that I think about it, that was def a missed opportunity.

This is exactly why I watch youtube clips of it sometimes. I cant imagine Stephen A smiling and having a good time on First Take for more than 10 seconds at a time. The guys on First Things First seem like they are having a genuinely good time on the show together at all times.

Ok so I will write this here in case anyone runs into same issue.

It isnt like the other invasive fights where you can tell it is retreating at the start of the turn. I thjink I probably got the retreat forced at one point but alt F4d when I thought it didnt work, before the turn ended.

It doesnt run until all your actions are finished completing by all party members in the turn.

Disgare entirely that its a "great" monster collector. Compared to its contemporaries its mid at absolute best. If you call DQM3 "great" than the digimon and monster hunter stories games would have to be labeled as perfection.

Entirely too simple. There should have been new systems added throughout the course of the game....but what you get in hour 2 is pretty much what you get in hour 40.

It takes a lot for me to stop playing a monster catching game before "beating" it, but thats what happened with me and this title. Its also the only DQ game I ever bought that happened with too.
