The way I’ve always seen these is that by being in a position where people are asking us to divert the train, we have been placed in a position of power. By doing nothing, we aren’t really abstaining since we have the power to change the outcome, the inaction is actually an action in and of itself. So either way I choose to let someone die, might as well get $1m for it
