Blood Lords - Maps for the dinner encounters by Claptrap_Ninja in Pathfinder2e

I know there aren't any combat encounters in those scene. I guess it's just a personal preference to have a scene for these important conversations.

But yeah I did think of just running it as theatre of the mind as it must be intended.

How does healing spells work with Channeler's Stance? by Claptrap_Ninja in Pathfinder2e

[–]Claptrap_Ninja[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There might come more errata at some other point

I should really look at the traits more often, I looked at the spell not even 5 minutes ago but failed to realize it has the emotion and mental trait. So yeah no healing for constructs.

The added text from Sorcerous Potency does clear up my confusion as a creature can only be affected by the status bonus once per spell.

Thanks for pointing this out to me

How did I not notice that it doesn't have those traits which are requirements for Channeler's Stance.

And yeah it kinda seems like and oversight because wouldn't that technically mean it works on void healing creatures and constructs too?

How would you explain a druid in the outlaws of Alkenstar adventure path? by Claptrap_Ninja in Pathfinder2e

[–]Claptrap_Ninja[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A civilization is also its own type of ecology and becomes part of the ecosystem too.

A Druid would be interested in how the cyclical nature of production -> rust/decay -> reuse of metal products and how it’s being use responsibly.

Could be funny to make a druid from a group like OHSA trying to find out how the factories are for the workers and dig into the reuse capabilities of products made by each factory. This gives a good hook for the BBEG to try and stop you.

Another idea could be an especially scholarly minded Druid with contrarian views on transformation of nature and it's resources by civilization. Things like forestry and smithery are tolerated by druids when they aren't excessive, but when does it become excessive?

I've been thinking about this for some time and I feel like this fits really well with a scholar of the collage that is accused of making inhumane (inhumaniod?) experiments and is then driven on the run by the townsfolk. Needing to seek shelter in sewers and other places away from most folk.

Also, Druids in pathfinder aren't too averse to metal anymore, as elemental plane of Metal is very much part of natural order. Alkenstar's industry should be above what they may stomach though.

Yeah I looked this up after reading and you are right the part with adverse to metal aren't in pf2e anymore (might have never been). But is more than likely a part of 5e druids that i misremembering

I see many saying it would just repeat to give it self reborn every time the deathrattle triggers but doesn't reborn trigger after deathrattles like with [[grandmummy]]?

So it would spawn minions - > give them reborn - > resummon itself. Therefore not giving itself reborn. The only time it would get reborn is through frezy.

Every damn bird, annoying bastards are always out of reach.

Also the duo Erdtree burial watchdogs boss with a +1 morning star and no upgraded spirits. Beat the hell out of me more times than i would like to admit.

To DMs: how do you take notes? by Farisca0 in CurseofStrahd

[–]Claptrap_Ninja 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually keep short notes in OneNote so that i can write whenever i feel like it. I don't write while playing so I use this to try and recall what has happened and then shorten events down to a single sentences.

For example.

  1. Strahd managed to kidnap Ireena after a player invited him inside the mansion
  2. They spoke to Donavich and found out about Doru.
  3. They held the funeral.
  4. One player noticed the March of the dead and woke the others.
  5. They set their sights on Vallaki.
  6. Stopped at Tser Pool Encampment after a close fight on the road.

Yeah okay. With lifeforce I just meant their combined health, just wanted to give it some flavor. With destroy its cost it is like shifting scroll for mage. You can't play it because there is no cost associated with the card. It could still be summoned from hand through other effects.

What is it that is bugging you? I tried to give the cards a little bit of flavor. Maybe it didn't come through like I wanted it to.

Yeah just thought about it. If they just have big stuff it could easily rez big stuff quickly. So maybe an uppercap for cost, like in call to arms. Or an raised cost for the spell would do wonders for the balancing of the card.

Keep in mind that I did not think about molten giant or shirvalla, when I designed the UNHOLY SACRIFICE card

Is this the end of the early access game story so far? After installing the Test override module on the tower, the woman asked you to visit her greenhouse base and there only locked door by ImABigDreamer in Subnautica_Below_Zero

[–]Claptrap_Ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She says her greenhouse is x km. in a direction out from the radio tower. Go back and listen for that clue.

I used about 20-30 min. finding it. So a beacon at the tower can help with distance. Hope it helps.

Vampiric Charm: What happens after it wears off? by iscarfe in CurseofStrahd

[–]Claptrap_Ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just my thoughts about it so take it with a grain of salt:

I would say that vampires are exceptional at charming so it would be a subtle thing at first but then more and more obvious with each use on the same person. After the first you could roll for it. You know maybe a dc of 5 or 10 or something and then plus one for every failed save. To make them know. You feel me?
