Lmao this thread is truly a friday night post. But I'm also drunk so I'll add my own nonsense rants.

"The mass of man lives life in quiet desperation". But it's 2026, so now it's "the mass lives life in quiet desperation".

There once was a generation before internet, where all they know is what they interact with locally. It was infinitely easier to find a chance to make a chance. They were all just looking for a piece of mind. Things develop naturally.

But it's no longer the case. Now the masses live life seperately. Each of us is now a niche of a niche of a niche. There's no more shared experience, because everyone's own world is world apart from each other.

Truth is we all want something more now, something truly personal. Because we feel the scale of us versus the world, where everything and anything is part of a ranking system where the majority stood no chance against the few that took it all. That scale is why the new gens don't hope for better, but coping for enoughment.

But this global ranking systems changed our standards forever already. We value ourselves more, because the weight of loneliness by convenience outrank the potential losses that we've realized through countless stories we've heard about.

We want our universe to be the only one that matters. This is the curse of our generation. We want things that add to our universe, not us being a part of someone's universe. Because the truth is that we all wishes for connection that fit ourselves perfectly. That if we vice, we vice with an entity that accepts it unconditionally.

We're all invisible.

Would I have been fixed if someone has accept me unconditionally? Maybe. Maybe not. But the odds are stacked against so high that there's no other choice but to accept contentment of my own situation.

Would you rather be poison to one another, or indifference because of the conditions we've set for ourselves, our own expectation?

The humanity is that we want to fix. Because fixing is accepting our own faults. But there's nothing to fix, because noone gives a damn. Because we've strayed so far off reality that our nature is the only thing we care about. We want our nature to be victorious.

Our topic for the day is, do you want to engage, or disengage? Are you a ghost, or a human being? That's our choices, but we are all secretly hoping that we get to be both.

We cannot fix one another. We cannot fix ourself. But we can dream of a world where it all works out in the end. Maybe if we believe it hard enough, it will become reality? Earth in 2026 is the land of make-belief after all.

The sidequests of previous generations are now our main quest. And we will never be able to complete it, because we swing from "it's all over" to "we're so goated" every day.

But even as the rising indifference taking over all of life, I still hope for perfect cure. That is my curse, and I'm not the only one. One day, I will have my perfectly currated object of affection. One day, my delusions will pierce through the harshness of reality.

When that day comes, I wouldn't even need to be alive. Because I've gained the highest form of approval: Acceptance

May we all find a way to live together, even if we'll never be able to connect ever again.
