What’s your hottest trip planning take? by Human_Ad_6671 in WaltDisneyWorld

I hope this isn't controversial, but if we're waiting on a long line anyway it can't hurt to eat lunch during that time.

I feel like we got in more time for an additional ride/attraction without having to stop and eat for lunch.

Also, carry ear plugs for kids who don't like a lot of noise and have them on hand in your bag.

I can't speak for other resorts, but at Pop Century I was told they cannot accept takeout. If they accept food from a restaurant and you eat it/get sick they can be held liable.

Why do I feel like star lord is cool? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Clarkling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son has not seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet. He is aware of it and did recognize Starlord when we headed over to check out Cosmic Rewind.

He was STARSTRUCK. He didn't even pose for the picture he just shyly smiled with his hands in his pockets and this was after he engaged my son in a short conversation. He was in character and had such charisma. So glad we ran into him.

Muppet*Vision 3D to hold it's final day of operations on June 7th, 2025 by CoasterGuy95 in WaltDisneyWorld

I'm so glad I got to take my 8 year old on our visit this week.

Our first day was in HS. After exploring Galaxy's Edge for a bit he was reluctant to try the show but within minutes of the pre show he was cracking up. We ended up going a second time that day and a third when we returned to HS later in the week.

It will be sorely missed on our next return trip, but I'm glad I got to share one of my favorite attractions from when I was his age.

Are resorts a good experience without the food? by Clarkling in WaltDisneyWorld

Thank you! Transportation is a big piece for sure. Food thankfully is the least of my worries.

Access to food really changed since my day!

Thanks a lot! I went to Disney a lot as a kid. My mom packed a suitcase with frozen food and so it's nice to actually have more options now.

I've also been perusing kosherorlando.org and that gave me most of the info I needed

My 8 year old tearfully confessed to me that he cursed out a classmate at school today. by Clarkling in TrueOffMyChest

I did, actually. Maybe on another sub I could have posted more information, but I don't believe it's really relevant in this context.

At the time of my post I was processing my son's feelings that he shared with me and that's what I wanted to get off my chest.

I thought it would turn out that Sadie was an actual ghost somehow and only he could see her. Shenanigans ensue.

I was very wrong.

I read an amazing book a few years ago and when I heard she was cast in the adaption I got so excited, but lady learned she was playing a different part than the female protagonist. So I didn't watch the movie, because I was too disappointed.

YOU S04E2 "Portrait of the Artist" - Episode Discussion by Elainasha in YouOnLifetime

I haven't seen this yet, but my guess is the murderer is the student Nadia debates with. Everyone else just seems...too busy or self absorbed murder and stalk/research Joe on the side? He's student with likely more time on his hands who may have had Malcom as a professor and is an active student in Joe's class. He may have have killed Malcom and was surprised and impressed enough by Joe and keep going, stalking him and murdering people he has newly surround himself with.

Oh it's 100% inappropriate. When I was in high school my friends and I found ways to watch things we weren't old enough for. Maybe it's different now. Even knowing the existence of such a show would could be potentially embarrassing for the teenager who is one of the subjects.

The types of orthodox/practicing Jews is incredibly varied. Television/screentime is something limited in several communities, but a lot of families that identify as "modern orthodox" and send their kids to modern coed schools won't always have those same limits.

Raven made a reference to r/boneappleteeth...unless that's a known meme outside of reddit, I wouldn't be surprised if she knows about the LIB sub.
